BB Cream For Oily Skin: Ask IMBB

Mamta asks:

Hello IMBBians,

I have been a silent follower and a big fan of all you lovely ladies.  Can you guys suggest me a good drugstore BB cream. I have very oily skin, like a shiny disco ball:P, but currently in winters, it is behaving quite well. I have tried many BB creams so far, but they all become dull and dark.  After being on IMBB, I learnt it is called oxidization :), within 2 hours of application.  The Garnier one was overly moisturizing and greasy for me, Maybelline one made me too oily immediately within application.  I love BB stick, but for a change, also want to try BB creams. Lakme CC cream was good, but setting it is compulsory and it felt sticky, so I did not like it.  Lastly, Pond’s one, I liked it the most, but it clings to dry patches on skin, and does not melt into skin and sits on top, looking very unnatural.  I have slight redness around nose and cheeks, so I want one with medium coverage.  I do not suffer from acne, it should melt into skin and not sit on top, and give a skin like finish, that does not oxidize or make my skin shiny and oily. I know you guys will definitely help me out. Thanks in advance!

      1. After reading the comments I feel like buying colorbar BB cream! 🙂 But when I googled up it shows that it has spf 20. Is there a variant without spf? And does it photograph well?

  1. Kiehl’s bb cream is great.. it has an spf of around 30 or 50.. gives a matte finish and doesnt give a white cast. You can try a sample 1st before buying a full size..
stilla is also good.. bt it gives a dewy finish as it has sum microshimmers/ light reflecting ingredients.
Or if u want, you can mix a tiny amount of your foundation in your moisturiser which will work as a bb cream for you.. gud luck.. 🙂
