My Experience with BBlunt Back To Life Dry Shampoo:
My skin is an oil factory and my hair is a grease factory! 😛 So washing my hair every other day is a must for me to look fresh and feel good about myself, but washing hair in the winters is a pain especially if you only air-dry your hair like me. So , picked up this dry shampoo from BBLUNT when I spotted them at the New U store.
I tried the dry shampoo on the 3rd day from my hair wash. My hair was super greasy by then and there was no way I could step out without a hair wash. I sprayed the shampoo all over my roots and there was a thin layer of white dust all over. It wasn’t a pretty picture, but I wasn’t scared as I already knew that baby powder is also used to blot greasy scalp though I feel it’s a messy to try.
I massaged my scalp for a few minutes until the white powder disappeared and voila! I was good and ready to go!! My scalp looked fresh, dry and hair was kind of glossy and smooth. There was not much volume but my hair was not limp either. I loved the effects instantly. My hair smelled good. It’s my first dry shampoo and so I have nothing to compare it to but I love it. I went out, went for a movie, did shopping and my hair started to weigh down after a good 6 hours, but for 6 hours, it gave me a fresh look without the process of shampooing and air drying! After 6 hours, my scalp started getting oily but it was okay with me.
The packaging is travel friendly and quite handy in the bag. So, it’s easy to get a quick fix. The product mentions that it was specifically designed for Indian hair, I don’t understand how. Actually, I assumed that as it was designed for Indian hair, it wouldn’t give that white dust on dark hair, but it did, so I can’t comment how it is so special for Indian hair.
Let’s sum up the pros and cons:
Pros of BBlunt Back To Life Dry Shampoo:
- Instantly freshens up hair.
- Nice smell, kind of powdery and flowery.
- Does not weigh down hair for a good 6 hours on me (a girl with extremely greasy scalp!).
- Does not cause any hair fall.
- Easy on the pocket.
Cons of BBlunt Back To Life Dry Shampoo:
- Gives a white powder effect immediately, but that goes away later.
- I see a lot of chemicals.
4 /5 (-1 for all the chemicals).
Would I Repurchase/Recommend BBlunt Back To Life Dry Shampoo?
Repurchase? Oh yes!!! I wouldn’t recommend it for every day use, but it’s a good option for those lazy days when you don’t feel like taking a head bath or when you have to go somewhere out in a jiffy!
