BBlunt One Night Stand Temporary Hair Colour Blue Velvet Review

How are you all? I am back with a new review on a temporary hair color from a well-known brand “BBlunt.” I always wanted to highlight my hair without harming it much, but always longed for a less damaging and temporary method. When I saw these temporary hair sprays, I thought of buying one and giving a shot. When it comes to hair coloring, I have always resorted to unique out of the world hair colors since I love experimenting. I have had my hair permanently colored in pink, red and green a few years ago – typical teenager dealing with fashion choices. I decided to buy the blue color from BBlunt since I thought it was funky. Read on to know how it fared.

INR 300 for 37g/54 ml.
Product Description:
Color on your own terms. A cool new way to color hair without having to commit permanently. Spray on to add a dramatic splash of color to your day! Simply shampoo to wash off color. Specially created for Indian hair. Shades Available: Green, Blue, Copper, Pink and Bronze. Shelf life of two years.

My Experience with BBlunt One Night Stand Temporary Hair Colour Blue Velvet:

The product comes in a matte black metal bottle with a spray nozzle and a plastic cap with a ball bearing inside to shake and mix the color. It is small and compact, there is nothing much to discuss as the design is same as it is of all the spray cans out there but in a smaller size.

There are many opinions out there about this product, majorly negative, but personally, I think all the allegations are not really true. May be it is due to the lack of knowledge of how to apply this hair color. I found this hair color up to the mark. Since it is temporary, one can expect this to fade off really quick. I definitely did not expect it to last for more than 3 -4 days.

The product can be sprayed onto dry hair directly without the use of any pre-prep products or anything like that which makes it a great “time-saving” product for occasions. I have used it twice and I have to say that this product indeed does make me look funky, but I am disheartened with its staying power. It hardly stays on strong after a couple of hours of application and fades off completely within a day or two.

The best way to apply this product for maximum utility would be to first wash the hair and then dry it completely, and after that apply the product just like you would apply your hair spray. The color is buildable and it definitely takes a huge amount of product to get the true blue shade. Also, one must be aware that this product is a spray type hair color, which means that it is bound to stain things around or stain parts of your clothes or hair that you do not intend to color. The color sprays on wet, during which time, it is highly stainable to anything that comes in contact with it and it takes a good 8 to 10 minutes to dry up completely. Once the product is dry, it gives an effect to the hair which looks just like the effect left from a hair styling spray i.e., hard and rough. The best way to get rid of this effect would be dry style your hair like I do after the color gets dry and reapply the hair color and repeat the process. This way, excess color can be eliminated and it may look much better. One can also make use of a foil or a stencil like the one I got to create funkier looks.

Now in order to maintain the color, the only thing you need to remember is not to touch the color with anything wet. The color usually lasts for 1-2 days. The spray has a foul odor while applying which I deemed to be justifiable, the color doesn’t possess any strong smell itself. The color is bright and works on all types of hair color.
