Beauty Formulas Cocoa Butter Body Conditioning Cream Review

Hello everyone!

I was looking for a decent moisturizer that would  help me say goodbye to my dry skin this winter and that’s when I came across this one. I was eyeing the Nivea one, but as I had never bought any product from Beauty Formulas, I got this without a second thought. Let’s see how well it worked for me.

My Experience with Beauty Formulas Cocoa Butter Body Conditioning Cream:

I expect most of the lotions and creams to come in bottles or tubs, but this one comes in a tube. The tube is brown coloured and the flip cap is sturdy. Quite a travel friendly one. I was attracted by the term ‘Cocoa Butter’ and it does slightly smell of chocolates that’s just mild and smells coconut-y to my nose(weird, I know!). I don’t adore the smell or dislike it either as it fades away after a while.

The cream is too runny to be called one; it is more of a lotion. On the skin, it needs a while to get absorbed after rubbing. Also, it needs a while to get blended. It does somewhat give a soothing feeling post application, as it claims, but that does not last long.

As far as the toning part is concerned, I haven’t noticed any change on my tanned arms. Also, induces a slight glow that makes my skin look fresher. Maybe, with prolonged usage the effects may be seen. I use this post bath, I have seen that it makes my skin smooth after application. There is no need of reapplication as I do not have extremely dry skin; it controls the dryness also.

It feels greasy till it gets absorbed. Also, it induces sweating under sun. I was looking for a decent body lotion/cream, and this has worked fine for me. I would have loved it had it been formulated without parabens. 🙁

Overall, I am satisfied with this product.

• Controls skin dryness.
• Moisturises decently.
• Gives slight glow to the skin.

Cons of Beauty Formulas Cocoa Butter Body Conditioning Cream:

• Slightly expensive for the quantity.
• I dislike the fragrance(may not be a con for some).
• Haven’t noticed any toning yet.
• Contains Parabens.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Beauty Formulas Cocoa Butter Body Conditioning Cream?

If you’re looking for a decent lotion/cream for the winters that does its job well, then this can be given a shot. I don’t think I’ll be getting this again, because of the aroma.
