I hope you all are doing great. 🙂 I have been busy running to college and whenever I get an hour off I can be found stuck to the desktop browsing IMBB or writing reviews 😀 . Winter has finally packed it’s bags and left for good in my city, which is great for my skin and hair. Today’s review is a face pack from Beauty formulas that I basically got for the winters, but never used it. Let’s jump to the review.

My Take on Beauty Formulas Coconut Ultra Moisturising Shea Butter Mask:

Packaging: The face mask comes packed in a pouch, I totally detest the packaging. It is difficult to store after opening and also a hassle to squeeze it out as it gets settled at the bottom. This mask is like a thick paste, which adds to the difficulty in squeezing.

Consistency: The consistency of the coconut face pack is like a thick paste, which is white in color. It is also a pain to spread it evenly on the face due to it’s thick and hard texture. It consumes more time and effort to do so.

Smell: The face pack smells of coconuts, which I adore. The aroma is not too strong or too mild. This face pack claims to hydrate and soften skin, which it stood by. It also made my skin feel stretchy, which was slightly disappointing. As instructed I applied it on my face, after a lot of effort spreading it; left it for a good 15 minutes before rinsing it. My skin appeared to have become softer and smoother, but also a little dry at the same time, which I could feel despite the softness part. It does have emollient ingredients like lavender, shea butter etc… that are said to seal in the moisture content. But, maybe the stretchy effect must be due to the presence of chemicals and parabens. Overall, it stood by it’s claims and it was not a disappointing purchase or my best buy either. Summing up the pros and cons.

Pros of Beauty Formulas Coconut Ultra Moisturising Shea Butter Mask:

• Hydrates the skin to an extent.
• Has a good coconut-y aroma.
• Contains emollients like shea butter, lavender etc….
• It does make the skin softer and smoother.

Cons of Beauty Formulas Coconut Ultra Moisturising Shea Butter Mask:

• I dislike the pouch packaging.
• Texture is too thick, which makes it a hassle to spread it easily.
• Pricey for the given quantity.
• Contains a lot of chemicals and parabens.
• Makes skin slightly stretchy.

Would I recommend/repurchase Beauty Formulas Coconut Ultra Moisturising Shea Butter Mask:

It is not the best buy I’ve had so far, but definitely worth a shot. I would’ve admired it a lot more if it came formulated without a lot of chemicals and parabens, maybe I’m not getting it again.
