Today I will be reviewing a scrub from the mud range of beauty formulas. I was allured by the clay formula and hence decided to buy this one.

My Take on Beauty Formulas Renewing Glorious Mud Facial Exfoliator:

The mud exfoliator comes in a normal tube with a flip cap. The white tube has brown accents to it. The nozzle dispenses the required amount properly. The tube is not bulky and can be carried around.

The scrub is brown in color with no significant fragrance. The texture of the base is very smooth and the granules are hardly visible. The granules can only be felt, and they are not too mild or harsh. It is gentle on skin and at the same time it exfoliates well. Sensitive skin will not hate it. I scrub it over my face for about a minute and leave it for a while before rinsing it completely.

It does not dry my skin to a large extent, but I do feel that I need to moisturize it post usage. It removes the dead skin and oil effectively enough to my satisfaction. But the oil re-appears after an hour. I could feel the freshness of the cleaned skin and clean pores. But it is not effective on blackheads since the granules are not big enough. It does nothing to impart radiance or anything else.

My big issue with this product is that it has a big list of ‘parabens’. Though the scrub is pretty good, the ingredient list is very unfriendly. I doubt if it contains even 1% of clay! Overall this was a good product, but the ingredient list disappointed me badly.

• Not a friendly ingredient list. All kinds of parabens are present I guess!

I think this is a very intriguing product to be tried owing to the name, but it is just an average scrub and does nothing spectacular other than exfoliation. If you’re okay with the ingredient list then this can be given a shot.
