Beauty UK High Brow All In One Brow Definition Kit Review

Ola Bonita Chica’s!

2014 was the year of the eyebrow hands down. Pencil them in, powder them in, line with concealer or get them tattooed in. All people could talk about were brows, maybe a too much even! Where some people’s eyebrows were completely on fleek, others just looked like giant hairy squirrel tails on top of their eyes. I am very happy that groomed, neat eyebrows are suddenly becoming super trendy. I’ve had a fascination with mine ever since I started threading; I was a late bloomer at 21! Since then they gone every which shape depending on what was in arched, thin, thick, round and I’ve caused my eyebrows so much damage. This is why I invested in the budget Beauty UK Brow kit and it was one of the best decisions for my eyebrows I’ve ever made.

Product description

The Beauty UK High Brow kit is a generic kit that is suited to people of all skin and hair colours, well maybe except redheads! It’s a palm sized compact with a transparent lid. There are three shades for your brows and one brow wax to help your shade set. It comes with a handy pair of tweezers that are quite precise and another double ended brush. The small brush has synthetic fibers and the rounded end on one side and angled end on the other side are good enough to help apply your brow wax and brow powder. I wouldn’t follow the instructions listed on the back; they say to tweeze your stray hairs at the very end. I highly recommend you start with that and work their instructions backwards rather!

My experience with the Beauty UK High Brow All In One Brow Definition Kit:

First of all, I highly recommend any brand that safety seals anything that they sell. I know that no one’s fingers have been in here swatching what I am about to put on my face. So Beauty UK get a big thumbs up for that as I’m disgusted by drugstore products that do not do the same! Also I really like that they’ve included a handy, precise, sharp and easy to use pair of tweezers. They’re pretty tiny so it might seem like they will not work as well, but the tweezers really surprised me and I’ve got to give them a ten on ten. I also like the applicator brush although I only use the angled side to dip into my brow colour. Because I didn’t want to use the same end in the brow wax and then into powder (which will just spoil the powder) I usually use a spare spoolie to dip into the brow wax and them comb that into my brows.

There are three colours of brow powder and I think these aren’t aimed specifically for anyone with a particular skin tone and I can see how this product might work for a large group of the population. All three shades are in a matt finish and can also be used on the eyes. The first shade is very light and I think it will work well with cooler complexions and blondes. Somehow I find that this shade is a brilliant transition colour for me when doing my eye makeup so I have found a better use for it as I have never worn it on my brows. The second shade on the top right is a very dark shade for me for everyday use. I can imagine it being a perfect everyday wear colour on your brows if you had caramel or chocolate skin. I have used this colour for heavier evening wear looks and when I wanted the focus to be entirely on my eyes and brow. You don’t need a lot of this shade on your brows to whip them into shape if you’re around an NC 30 to NC 40.

The colour that I do use the most, even on days when I’m not wearing foundation is the colour on the bottom right. It matches me perfectly and even if I’m just rocking the day with kajal and lip balm using this completely changes my face. I usually pluck excess hair with the given tweezers and then dip a spoolie into the brow wax and comb that thoroughly through my brow. I then take the angled brush and start from the middle of my brow to shade it in with this colour. With whatever is remaining on the angled end of the brush, I then fill in the beginning of my brow and use the spoolie again to comb through my brows and they are then completely set for the day!

The brow powder has lasted me all day, even through some minor sweating. It does not rub off and I have seen my brows look on point even at the end of a hectic day. I can completely see why this kit is so raved about. The shades are such natural tones and they have no weird orangy undertones to them. Also this is super affordable and I see so many brow kits that are expensive and do not do anything different to this Beauty UK one. Sometimes I have mixed the colours of the three shades to experiment and create a different look, it has worked at times, and I think it is all about trying!

Pros of Beauty UK High Brow All In One Brow Definition Kit:

  • Universal natural shades
  • Tweezers and brush included
  • Very affordable

Cons of Beauty UK High Brow All In One Brow Definition Kit:

No mirror included.

Would I repurchase or recommend the Beauty UK High Brow All In One Brow Definition Kit?

I don’t think I would need to repurchase this till it expires because there is quite a lot of product in here but I would definitely recommend you giving this a try. It is very inexpensive and you get a brilliant product for the price.

  1. Sorry guys I have to add a correction to this review.
“The colour that I do use the most, even on days when I’m not wearing foundation is the colour on the bottom right”
I meant bottom left- the bottom right is the brow wax, oopsies!
And can I just add that I’ve only recently discovered that this product has parabens in it. So even though it’s a really good product that I use almost every day, I wouldnt recommend this due to the parabens in the formulation.
