Today’s review is about Bebe Young Care Tender Rose Lip Balm. This is my second lip balm from Bebe Young Care. I was curious to know what a tender rose lipcare feels like and bought this.

My Experience with Bebe Young Care Tender Rose Lip Balm:
The packaging is just like any other lip balm packaging. It comes in a twist up tube. The tube works fine and there is no product leakage when moved up and down. The cap of the tube fits perfectly and also stays tight when closed. The product, along with the packaging, is pretty handy and can fit easily into handbags or clutches, or even jeans pocket.
The product is travel-safe. My twist tube is a little wobbly at the bottom. It seems like a manufacturing defect of just this tube. I was my bad luck that I ended up picking a faulty piece. The item was safely packaged in a cardboard and plastic packaging before I opened. But overall, the wobbly base does not hinder everyday usage.
The consistency of the product is creamy and glides smoothly over the lips. The product spreads evenly over the lips and doesn’t feel sticky or oily. It also does not bleed. The product leaves the lips soft and well nourished. It helps in keeping dry, cracked lips at bay. The product looks light pink in color; but, when swatched or applied on lips, it leaves no color.
It’s transparent. It leaves a tiny pearly finish when you apply. I have to have some color on my lips during the day. I feel incomplete without a lipstick or colored lip balm. The product has SPF 6. This is great if you prefer to go for nude lips. But, as I said, having SPF 6 but no color is no win. I would use it as a night lip balm. For now, I use this as a base for my lipsticks so that I can wear my lipstick and protect my lips from the sun.
The product has no perfume, preservatives or parabens. I like the fact that it’s fragrance-free. It prevents me from licking my lips. The product has an average staying power, like 2 to 3 hours. It does get transferred to cups and I have to wipe it off after eating a meal. It also does not cost much and is quite affordable. Overall, it’s a good lip balm with sun protection.
