Today’s review is about Bebe Young Care Wild Berry Smoothie Body Lotion. I recently purchased a few products from Bebe. Bebe is a part of Johnson and Johnson Group. It’s quite a famous brand here in Germany. I had never used any of their products, so thought of giving this brand a try.

Product Description: The bebe Young Care Wild Berry Smoothie Body Lotion not only has a fruity aroma, but draws despite their dehydrating effect quickly. The velvety lotion with shea butter and raspberry extract supplies the skin immediately for 24 hours with moisture.
Ingredients: Aqua, Glycerin, Paraffinum Liquidum, Sorbitol, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, Rubus Idaeus Fruit Extract, Caprylyl Glycol, Glyceryl Oleate, Propylene Glycol, PEG-100 Stearate, Carbomer, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-40, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, p-Anisic Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Phenoxyethanol, Parfum.
My Experience with Bebe Young Care Wild Berry Smoothie Body Lotion:
The packaging is pink. The first thing you notice about Bebe products is the color. Most of the products have a baby pink colored packaging. The packaging always feels very babyish or girlish. I would prefer some vibrant color to this baby pink. The product comes in a tall plastic bottle with a flap lid. The lid opens and closes easily and the closure is very secure. There is no chance of it accidentally opening during travels. So, the packaging is travel-safe.
The consistency of the product is not very thick. It is more like a body milk. It flows out through the bottle easily and there is no need of any hard work here. The product itself is mild pink in color. The fragrance is very fruity. I guess it’s due to the raspberry extract present in the product. My little 2-year-old son told me it smells like gummy bears and he wanted me to use it on him. I told him I wouldn’t else I would eat him up thinking he is a gummy bear. 😀 The fragrance lasts for an hour or two. The lotion spreads very easily on the skin and also gets absorbed within a minute.
I didn’t have to use a lot of product for my entire body. A little goes a long way. The lotion does not leave the skin oily or greasy. I love products which are not oily else they stain the clothes and make your clothes look dirty. The lotion also leaves my skin soft and smooth. Overall, I love this product. The product is also moisturizing enough for spring and summer. But, I have a feeling it’s not sufficient for the cold autumn and winter days. I am yet to try this lotion during the winter. The body lotion has not caused any kind of itchiness or redness to my sensitive skin. My kids also tried it a few times and loved it. The product feels very velvety during application due to the fact that it has shea butter. My skin stays moisturized all day long.

I would love to try out different lotions so I don’t think I would go for the same one again. Neutrogena still remains my favorite brand for body lotions.

I would recommend it if you are looking for a lightweight body lotion for the warmer months. The fragrance is also great.
