My Experience with Becca Beach Tint in Watermelon:

I have recently delved into Becca products after hearing the unending hype surrounding them. I purchased a few products from this line which included this beach tint.  Tints always fascinate me. I love the concept of budge proof smudge proof makeup that literally becomes one with your skin and stains it.

Packaging:  Comes in a simple squeeze tube, very practical and travel friendly.

Texture/Consistency:  This beach tint comes in a liquid form which is neither too thick nor too runny.  It spreads very easily and looks equally good blended with fingers or a brush (I use my ELF small stipple brush).  It sets very quickly, hence you have to work quickly to spread it or it will stain.

It easily blends and sinks into the skin and will look so incredibly natural that nobody can make out that you have anything on your skin. The effect is very subtle as the color sheers out when blended, but it is easily buildable and takes no effort. It does not apply streaky.

I also use it as a lip tint and I love it way more than Benetint which I find very difficult to apply due to its very watery consistency. With the becca beach tint, I apply some on the back of my hand and spread it and use my brush to apply it to the cheeks and use my fingertips to dab the color on my lips.

It gives a very healthy flush to the lips, but it’s not very hydrating on the lips. Initially, you may feel some moisture as you press your lips together but that feeling goes away very quickly and the lips seems to get more and more dry as time wears on which has me reaching for the chap stick. I must put out that my lips are usually very dry hence I have this problem with a lot of lip products. It does not feel sticky at all when you press your lips together. You can hardly feel it applied.  On the lips, it gives a soft matte finish, very natural looking.

Shade:  The shade “watermelon” is soft bright pink. It doesn’t look clown like as it sheers out when blended.

Staying Power:  This tint is indeed very water resistant.  I ran the hand swatch under water and even rubbed it, but it did not move. It will only be removed by means of a makeup remover completely.  Staying power on the face is pretty good. On my cheeks, I get a good 6-7 hours wear, more if I layer it with a powder blush since the effect is so sheer. On my lips, it lasts for 4-5 hours and does not transfer and is completely kiss proof.

Overall, yes I do enjoy this product very much. I love the fact that it looks completely undetectable on the skin hence making it ideal for days you are going for no-makeup face but still want that healthy look to the face. It is very easy to use even on the go and the fact that it is waterproof and long wearing are all plus points. This biggest con is however the price for such a tiny product (.24 oz).

  • Very easy to use.
  • Travel-friendly squeeze tube packaging.
  • Kiss proof, transfer proof, budge proof, smudge proof.
  • Water resistant.
  • Long wearing.
  • Looks very natural and undetectable on the skin.

Cons of Becca Beach Tint in Watermelon:

  • High price for such a tiny product. You do need a substantial amount of product if you were building up the color for it to show up hence I feel like I will run out of this quickly.
