Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Luminous Blush Foxglove Review

By Meenakshi G.

Hello everyone,

I am back with a review of a blush from Becca cosmetics. I had been eyeing their luminous blushes (Tigerlily, Snapdragon, Songbird) for quite a while, but finally, I decided to dig a hole in my pocket and buy one of these little babies. These luminous blushes have been out in the market for some time now and have been raved about a lot. These blushes have just the right amount of radiance to give you that ethereal glow. After careful consideration, I narrowed down to two shades which stood out the most to me for my NC 42 skin tone. Those were “Snapdragon (coral)” and “Foxglove (orchid)”. To be sure, I walked into the local Sephora store to try out each of these shades to see how they would actually look on me. Finally, I settled for Foxglove. So, let’s get started with the review.

My Experience with Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Luminous Blush Foxglove:

Packaging: This blush comes in a typical packaging as all other Becca blushes and skin perfector highlighters, but the size of the compact itself is smaller than the actual skin perfectors. It has a rubberized outer case with a metallic top and the brand name embossed on it. The outer packaging is sturdy and looks classy. It has a good size mirror as well which always comes in handy.

Shade: This particular shade, “Foxglove”, is described as an orchid color. It has slightly blue and lilac undertones which might look a little overwhelming at first but works wonders. It provides the most natural flush of color on my NC42 skin. Because of the smooth texture and radiance, it would never give me “clown cheeks.” I just love the way it provides an iridescent glow to my skin. I can easily skip a highlighter when wearing this blush alone. It never accentuates my already large pores and doesn’t cling on to dry patches on my skin. It stays on for a good 7-8 hours on my oily skin, but very deep/tan skin tones have to be careful while using it as it might appear a little ashy.

Texture and Pigmentation:  As the product claims, it has a very satiny finish and very buttery texture. The shimmer might look a little intimidating at first but it is not at all chunky. It is super blendable and gives a very nice finish in one or two swipes. It can be easily layered on without looking patchy or gritty.
