Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Moonstone Review

This review will be on the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in the shade “Moonstone.”

Product Description:

A sheer cream-liquid that perfects skin with light-reflecting pearls for a soft, natural glow.  Achieve a subtle luminosity. This formula features ultra-fine light-reflecting pearls that melt into your skin for polished, natural-looking radiance. Water-light and sheer, it has a prismatic effect that allows it to adjust in any light, so your refined glow is never lost.  This product has been dermatologically tested.

Ingredients:

• Vitamins A, B, D, and E: Guard against daily damage caused by free radicals.
• Avocado Oil: Provides antioxidants and emollients.
• Witch Hazel: Tightens the appearance of skin and reduces the look of puffiness and redness.

My Experience with Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Moonstone:

This is an absolutely amazing product. All the hype surrounding this product is so true and it totally lived up to my expectation and more.

Packaging:  I do have a travel size version of this which comes in a squeeze tube, but the full size does come with a pump.

Texture/Consistency:  This product is very smooth and creamy, and blends into the skin without any effort. I dab a little on the back of my hand and then take some on my fingertips and dab on the areas I want to highlight which are the high points of the cheeks, the bridge of the nose, above eyebrows and on brow bone and cupid’s bow.

The luminosity of this product is instantly notable as you move the face and the way it catches the light. The intensity of the shine can be built up in multiple layers, but I prefer my highlight to be subtle.

It does not look like it contains any big particles of shimmer or glitter yet the glow it gives is unmatched by any highlighter I have used so far. It does not accentuate the pores either.

The shade “MoonStone” is a pale gold color. It does give some color payoff on the skin in a very light subtle sheer way hence you do need to be careful of which color you are going to pick up.  If you are of dark skin and you pick up the lightest color, it will look very visible on the skin and vice versa. You can see the picture – I have of all the shades of the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector that I own side by side for comparison.

The shine and glow is very natural looking and does not scream fake. It really does give your skin a heavenly glow which looks both brilliant in real life and photos alike. It does not make the skin look greasy or oily.  I highly recommend this product – it’s the best highlighter in the market hands down.

Pros of Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Moonstone:

• A little goes a long way.
• Intensity can be built up from natural-looking to very apparent.
• Very easy to use.
• Unmatched sheen.
• Does not contain any gritty shimmer or glitter particles.
• Does not make my pores very apparent, but I also do not have a huge pore issue in general.
• Does give sheer color payoff.
• Looks good both in real life and in photos.
• Does not look greasy or oily.
• Does come in travel size, so you do not have to spend tons of money to give it a try.

Cons of Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Moonstone:
