Hello Everyone.

This review will be on a brand-new product by Becca. It’s the Shimmering Skin Perfector “Poured” in the shade Opal.

About the product:

What it is:
A pigment-rich, creamy formula that provides high color payoff with a soft, sophisticated shimmer.

What it does:
This rich cream formula features multi-toned, ultrafine pigment pearls that adjust to the skin’s natural undertones and accentuate the high points of the face with sophisticated shimmer. Liquid hydrators create a smooth, creamy finish, bringing light and lift to your best features.

My Experience with BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Poured Shade Opal:

My love affair with Becca Shimmering skin perfectors is no secret. They are hands down the best highlighters I have ever used. I have a bunch of shades in the liquid version ( you can read the review of the shade Moonstone here). They also come in the powder variation any of which I do not own and just recently Becca came out with these same skin perfectors in the Poured version which is basically similar texture to cream products.

Packaging:
Becca usually makes similar packaging for most of her products. They all come in this rubberized compact which does tend to get dirty easily. It has a good sized mirror inside. The compact is tiny and extremely travel-friendly.

Texture/ Consistency:
The consistency of this product is very similar to a cream blush. It is very easy to use. You just swirl your fingertips and dab the products where you wish, on the top of the cheek bones, bridge of nose, cupid’s bow etc. It blends effortlessly and seamlessly and has an emollient quality to it. It does not go patchy but feels very buttery smooth and creamy. The product in the compact has a firm consistency which means it does not dent when you put your fingertip on it unless you press really hard.

The Poured version of this product is more pigmented has higher color and shimmer payoff than the liquid version. The liquid version definitely is sheerer and looks more natural. With the liquid version, you also have an advantage of customizing its usage for example if you were to mix it with foundation for all over glow which you cannot do with this poured version. The powder version is the most pigmented and most shimmery out of all 3.

It does not accentuate my pores unless I apply a whole lot of it. It does not feel sticky or greasy at all on the skin.

Shade:
The shade Opal is described as a golden opal pearl. It definitely has a golden undertone to it and catches the light beautifully as you turn you face. It does have some color payoff hence if you are someone who is very pale or fair you would need to use it sparingly to avoid looking as though you have streaky line on your face. On my light – medium skin tone, however it completely blends in.

The shimmer in this product is not gritty at all. You cannot see any individual shimmer particles instead all you see is this ethereal radiant glow which no one can say isn’t your natural skin.

Staying Power:
Staying Power of this product is fantastic. It stayed impeccable all throughout the day which is 7-8 hours for me with little to no fading. It looks as good by the end of the end as it did when I initially applied it.

Overall, another fantastic variation of the popular Becca shimmering skin perfector which I am head over heels in love with. I love that this product is available in variety of shades. Though the effect of this product isn’t as natural and isn’t as versatile in use as the liquid version, I still know I will get a thorough use out of it. Also, the Poured version is much more expensive than all the other variations, if you were to compare price by the ounce. I highly recommend this.
