After I finished my Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation, I bought this Becca Ultimate Coverage Foundation because of its raving reviews and coverage claims.

My Experience with Becca Ultimate Coverage Foundation:
A decade ago, full-coverage foundations were meant only for people on celluloid screen because in person they appeared too garish and clownish. Makeup industry has come a long way since then and now there are a variety of base makeup options. It caters to specific skin tone and texture needs and also, provides options for the desired end finish. In the past, I would have refrained from buying full-coverage foundations because they would give me a cakey and dry appearance, but not anymore. Most high0end, full coverage foundations have dry and thick consistency, but after application, they sit on face in a thin layer. It’s the same case with this Ultimate Coverage Foundation from Becca. It has a thick and dry consistency and is hard to work with, but I mix it with a little bit of face oil and liquid highlighter, and that makes it super easy to apply and spread on my face.
This product comes in a slender bottle with a pump dispenser. The finish of the bottle is matte and has a silver cap on top. The bottle looks pretty but gets dirty while makeup application process and needs frequent cleaning. The quantity of this product is very disappointing – only 30 ml for $44!!! I use 3 pumps of this product for my face and neck and I can foresee that it will not last me very long. It is an expensive product and not something most of us can buy without a second thought.
The product comes in 19 shades and does not offer the widest shade range but most of us can find a suitable match for our skin tone. It is best to apply with a sponge but a lot of product gets absorbed by a wet sponge and leads to product wastage. I do not enjoy foundation application by fingers or a brush, so I have to use a face sponge. I really love the coverage and finish of this product but the only downside is that it burns a huge hole in my pocket.
It is a full-coverage foundation and gives a flawless, matte finish.
Pros of Becca Ultimate Coverage Foundation:
- It comes in a pretty, slender bottle which is easy to store and is travel friendly.
- Comes in 19 different shades, covers a wide range of color spectrum.
- Pump dispenser which keeps the product clean and sanitary.
- It is a full coverage foundation which imparts a flawless, matte finish.
- Three pumps are enough to cover my face and neck.
Cons of Becca Ultimate Coverage Foundation:
- An expensive makeup foundation, especially since only 1 fl oz is available for $44.
- It gives a good finish by a wet sponge but it leads to product wastage since the sponge absorbs some product as well.
- It could have had more shades and 19 shades does not seem to cover every possible skin tone.
- It has a thick, dry consistency and has to be mixed with a face oil or some other moisturizing agent to make application easier.
- It can be drying if applied without hydrating primer.
I love this foundation and this shade, but I will think again before buying it because $44 is a bit too much for me to spend on an everyday wear foundation.
