A big hello to all the beauties!!

Today, I am here with the review of one of my most-loved and used product. It is a black mascara from Benefit. I had purchased it from Sephora in Shanghai. I must tell you that Sephora in Shanghai is the biggest Sephora store I have seen so far (not that I have seen many 😛 :-P), no but compared to Singapore and Hong Kong, it was definitely humongous.  It has four floors spread out in a huge area. Anyhow, continue to read on to know more about this product and why I love it.

Product Details:

It’s a whole new angle on mascara! The scientifically angled brush literally lifts, lengthens and curls – it’s a push up bra for your lashes.   Apply the jet-black long lasting mascara daily for good looking lashes.

How To Apply:

Rest the base of your upper lashes on top of the angled brush and gently push the brush upwards to lift, lengthen and curl your lashes for a long lasting finish. Apply as many times as needed. Use over existing mascara and it is a midday makeover.

My Experience with Benefit Get Bent Wonder Lifting Mascara:

Let me start with the packaging, the mascara comes in a typical Benefit packing and the outer card box is very quirky and printed in red and black color combination. The mascara tube is long and cylindrical in shape, made of plastic with a metallic finish. The best feature is the brush (wand) because a) it has the softest bristles of all brushes and b) it can be bent to an angle that is why the name “get bent” 😀

I have used Maybelline Colossal Mascara, so for today’s review, I will take the same as the basis for comparison. Now the quantity is 6.5 gm, which according to me is not good and enough as typically mascaras come in a packing of 10 gm/10 ml, so it turns out to be pretty expensive for the quantity they provide. It is a waterproof mascara (even though it is not mentioned but I can tell from my experience) and does not budge, just like colossal mascara. The color is intense jet black and gives a very good color payoff in one coat only.

The wand has very soft bristles and glides on the lashes smoothly without any tugging (unlike Maybelline). It coats my lashes so well without clumping, and I love it. Within two swipes, it coats your lashes in a beautifully black color. Regarding the lengthening of lashes, it does make my lashes look longer, like really long, but it does not provide any volume to my lashes, (but it does not even claim to provide volume).  My lashes look exactly the same, but more lengthy. It does curl my lashes up to an extent, but then one has to use eyelash curler for a more dramatic look.

Overall, it is an excellent mascara and does what it claims to. So if you are looking to splurge and spend a hefty amount on a mascara, I would say go for it and you would not regret it. For other times, we always have an option to go for over beloved colossal mascara.

• Provides beautiful color in 1-2 coats at max.
• Does not clump at all.
• Wand glides smoothly on lashes without tugging.
• Waterproof and does not budge.
• Easy to remove with any makeup remover.

Cons of Benefit Get Bent Wonder Lifting Mascara:

• Expensive!!
