Hope you all are having a fantastic Monday!  I am all set for the upcoming weeks, which shall be highly demanding both emotionally and physically! So I am all belted! You guys know how much I love and adore my Watt’s Up Highlighter by Benefit Cosmetics, I have reviewed it HERE, so here’s another highlighter by the brand, the Benefit Sun Beam Highlighter! 

Product Claim:

This golden bronze highlighter gives you a natural, sunkissed radiance. Dot & blend over makeup on to cheek & brow bones for a bronzed glow that complements all skintones. It’s liquid sunshine in a bottle!

How to Apply :

Dot on top of cheekbones & blend towards the hairline. Dab under each brow & gently blend.

Benefit Sun Beam retails at about 110-150 AED and it is available at Debenhams, FACES and Sephora across the region!
The bottle has 13.0 mL, 0.45 oz of the product!

Packaging :

Benefit Cosmetics have some super cool packaging for their products! Benefit Sun Beam comes in a packaging similar to the tints by the brand, I have reviewed the Posie Tint HERE, check it out! Benefit Sun Beam comes in this dull matte golden bottle with a nail enamel like wand! Quiet a thoughtful packaging for a highlighter!

My Thoughts on the Benefit Sun Beam :
Mascara and highlighters are like drugs to me, I am addicted I agree! There isn’t a day which goes when I haven’t applied the mascara or highlighter! I may skip the blush but not these 2 products! The reason being that these 2 products add oomph to even the simplest regular makeup I wear! Try this trick of wearing just the mascara, lip balm/ lip gloss and highlighter on tinted moisturized skin!  You can obviously have some other makeup on too 😛

Now when I speak highlighters and skin luminators, I am not very specific with their forms and textures, like any of these work for me, if they don’t I make them work! 😛 The Benefit Sun Beam is a thick liquid one which gives a bronzed finish to the skin! It does look pearly and satiny beige shade but it gives a warm sheen to the skin!

How do I apply it :
I use the brush directly for application over the high points of my face and then pat it with my fingers into the skin or simply blend it with a brush! Fingers are the best for blending this product!

Where do I apply it :
Bridge of the nose, at the brow bone, above the arches of the brows, cupid’s bow and the cheekbones!

What’s to LOVE about the Benefit Sun Beam :

• Packaging. I mean who can think of a highlighter with a nail enamel kind wand, of course BENEFIT COSMETICS. I love how easy and convenient it is using the product with this packaging. The brush is soft and it allows you to have the product at the right place without looking like a disco ball! Plus this avoids wastage of the product or over doing the highlighting.
• You get a good quantity of the product and you do not need a lot to get the most perfect sheen to the skin!
• It is fragrance free!
• It may seem like it has shimmer and glitter but on application it transforms almost into a matte luminator with a nice warm sheen!
• Blends beautifully within the skin, faking that natural luminance from within the skin.
• Stays on for a good span of time.
• Doesn’t transform onto the blotting sheets and tissues!
• The Benefit Sun Beam is sure to enhance all skintones perfectly giving that delicate yet warm shine to the skin.
• Great for everyday use since it just has the right amount of shimmer to it!
• Mum use this as well, as she didn’t complain of any pores showing up (she mixes it with a little foundation though) or the product settling in the fine lines of the skin! So bingo works for mature skin too.
• It doesn’t slip off my mother’s oily skin too! So yet again BINGO works for oily skin too, even though if it is a liquid.
• Isn’t heavy on the skin. Like it doesn’t scream “look her skin shines because of me!”
• Can be doubled as a bronzer too, since it doesn’t have a lot of orange! It’s dirty golden!

What’s to HATE about the Benefit Sun Beam :

You bet? NOTHING AT ALL!!

Final Verdict :
In my honest opinion, BENEFIT Highlighters or any other products for that matter are worth a try they NEVER fail on you! I am a big fan of their products and see them as one of my favorite ones! Apart from the packaging the brand also ensures to make some revolutionary makeup, Benefit Sun Beam is no different! Benefit Cosmetics breaks the ice with this product! I mean it is one of the most beautiful highlighter I have ever used and I see myself using it more and more with each passing day for every season and reason!  If you haven’t, try this, this will get you addicted!  TRUST ME! It is seriously sunshine in a bottle.
