Hi everyone! Today’s post is again a makeup set or you can call it a gift set from Benefit Cosmetics. It is called “Benefit The Big 10”. The Big 10 is a collection of Benefit’s biggest hit products in travel size. It contains products that of primers, concealers, lip tints, highlighter and blushes.
I really like the compact size it comes in. perfect for the travelling. No hassle nothing to carry big sized products which only make your luggage over weight. I think it will save me from my hubby’s weird expressions at the airport when my bag weight is slightly overweight and he is like why you have to carry so much makeup with you during travelling. Huhhh I know I am bad in packing stuff… anyways that’s a different story. Now let’s take a look at what this pack contains.
The set contains the following items in compact travel size quantity:
- 0.1 oz. Dandelion (soft pink)
- 0.11 oz. Erase Paste in No. 2 Medium
- 0.08 oz. Benetint (rose)
- 0.08 oz. High Beam (luminous pink)
- 0.08 oz. Posietint (poppy pink)
- 0.08 oz. Ooh La Lift
- 0.08 oz. Stay Don’t Stray
- 0.25 oz. That Gal
- 0.25 oz. The Professional
- 0.1 oz.Coralista
This whole gift set cost me about $ 35. And you can buy it from Sephora or online.
My Experience with Benefit The Big 10:
I am sure most of you must be already using these classic products from Benefit. So I wouldn’t be taking much of your time in doing a detailed review of these products. I’ll just give my honest opinion on it. So let’s get starteddddd. 🙂
Erase Paste in No.2 Medium: I blend it first between my fingers and then just apply it under my eyes to conceal my dark circles. It helps to conceal as well as brighten my under eye area. I’m quite happy with the result.
Ooh La Lift: It claims to give lift to eyes but for me it didn’t work as such. I find that the pigmentation is not so great. An average product for me.
That Gal: It’s a face primer and it definitely gave me a subtle glow under my makeup.
The Professional: One of the most rave products from Benefit. And I must say that it is worth all the hype it has created in the market. I just loved the result it gave to me. The best face primer I have ever used. It gave the glow to my face by reducing the pores. It gave the perfect shine to my face and helped to keep my makeup on for long hours. Totally impressed with this product.
Benetint: I clearly couldn’t understand the use of this product. In my opinion a complete dud for me. I just couldn’t use it on my cheek. It failed to give that perfect amount of flush to my cheeks as it claims.
High Beam: I find it quite shimmery and suggest to first put it on the back of your hand and then put it in a dot dot manner and blend it. I have some better highlighter and I prefer to use those ones than this one. Again not very much impressed with High Beam.
Posietint: It is a liquid colour for cheek and lips but I saw same result as Benetint. Failed for me. 🙁
Stay don’t Stray: I didn’t own any eye primer and always have used concealer as an alternative and when I used it I really liked the results. My eye makeup stayed for longer hours. So I am going to use it more often now. 🙂
Dandelion: It is a pink shade with subtle golden shimmer and gives good colour to my cheeks. It is prefect for no makeup makeup face. The amount of the product is just enough to go a long way.
Coralista: The tagline Coral blush for tropical flush does full justice to this blush. For me it is a great pick for summer and spring time to give that soft coral sheen to my cheeks. Love it. 🙂
Now let’s look at the pros and cons of Benefit The Big 10 pack:
Pros of Benefit The Big 10:
- 10 best products of Benefit under one set.
- Perfect for travelling.
- Amount of the products is just sufficient to go for a long time.
Cons of Benefit The Big 10:
- Some of the products didn’t impress me.
- Availability can be an issue in some cities.
I would like to rate it 3/5 as some of the products didn’t work for me.
Would I recommend Benefit The Big 10?
In my opinion, it can be a perfect gift to your BFF. Products which didn’t work for me might work for you. The brand and the quantity that comes for $35 is really a very less amount. So if you want to try your hands on Benefit products, I would recommend it to you.
