Hey my Choco pies,
Today, I want to tell you about the benefits of head massage. Head massage is basically the act of rubbing, kneading and applying pressure to the skin of the scalp with the fingers and hands. There are many benefits of head massage, so read on to know about some of them.
- Deep Conditions:
The use of nourishing oil during scalp massage helps condition the scalp, the hair root, and the hair shaft. It reduces the factor that can interrupts the process of hair growth, including dandruff and dry skin.
- Headache Relief:
Scalp massage can help relieve tension headaches. When performing a scalp massage spend some extra time on the base of the skull that is near the hairline to release tension and head ache because tension often accumulates in this area. One can even massage the forehead and temples to relieve tension and headache. Scalp massage can also help relieve symptoms of migraine headache for some individuals.
- Hair Growth:
Increased blood flow to the hair follicle will result in increased nutrient intake. All hair follicles need an adequate supply of nutrients in order to grow. The reduced level of stress hormones allow the body to function with increased efficiency and this enhances the ability of the hair follicles to grow hair.
Massage will aid relaxation and reduce the feeling of stress because massage warms the skin and induces better blood circulation in the blood vessels.
- Healthy Hair:
Regular massage involving oil can reduces the chance of the hair strands becoming brittle, split and broken. It also makes the hair healthy and beautiful.
- Increase Blood Flow:
Besides the wide range of benefits that the scalp massage can provide, the greatest benefit is considered to be the increased blood flow to the scalp. Massage increases blood flow to the hair follicles, conditions the scalp and enhances the strength of the roots.
So, get a head massage from your friend, mom or sister. If you are not comfortable with an oil massage daily cause an everyday hair wash after the oil massage may strip natural oils and make the hair dry and damaged, then you can go for a massage without oil. It would work exactly the same. But, get the oil massage at least twice a week.
