Besame cosmetics is a brand that is famous for their vintage based makeup. I simply love their products, since it is luxurious and is inspired by the golden age of the cinema in Los Angeles, California since 2004. I already reviewed two beautiful shades “Wild Orchid” and “Blood Red“, from their classic color lipstick range, which was just outstanding. Recently, they launched a mini lipstick set comprising of their 5 most best selling shades and being a advent fan of the brand, I quickly picked up this set. So, today I am going to talk about the classic color lipstick “Noir Red” inspired by the year 1930. Without further ado, lets begin with the review .

My Experience with Besame Cosmetics 1930 Noir Red Lipstick:
Packaging: This lipstick comes packaged in a red and gold cardboard box with all the product and shade details. The lipstick itself comes housed in a gorgeous golden bullet with the brand’s signature chrysanthemum flowers design in red and the shade name is also present at the bottom of the bullet. Since I got the mini lipstick, I didnt get the outer box and also the lipstick came with a push up button to push the lipstick forward. The packaging is gorgeous and unique. Each of these lipsticks is inspired from a particular decade of the Hollywood world, and the year details are also put on the lippie. Usually, lipstick bullets have a single flat end, but this one is chiseled with 2 flat ends which make it easy to line and fill your lips. It also has a beautiful vanilla fragrance just like MAC lipsticks. Overall, this lipstick shouts “Luxury” and “Vintage”.
Shade: The shade “Noir Red” is a deep, dark plum red with a strong blackish brown undertone. All the lipsticks in this line are based on reds and this particular lipstick is the darkest red in that collection. What I found so interesting about Besame is that, they research the lipstick color that was in a particular decade or year; in this case, the year is 1930 which is inspired by Gatsby collection. This shade was designed based on the parties and intrigue of the 1930s. It is truly a color to wear when you are ready to stand out. All the lipstick shades in this line are universally flattering, which makes it incredible.
Formula: The formula of these lipsticks is “Divine”. It’s not extra creamy or slick as some ranges; it has the right amount of creaminess like a classic lippie. It applies smoothly onto the lips and provides full pigment with a single stroke. It does’t have a matte finish, as there were no matte formulas in the older days; these have a beautiful satin finish. All the lipsticks are enriched with Vitamin E, C, and A, as well as aloe and green tea, which makes the lipstick all the more smooth and good. There is no major feathering, flaking or smearing. It feels light and easy on the lips. Since this is a dark shade, a lip liner is necessary to avoid bleeding around the lips.
Longevity: This product also had impressive wearing time; it lasted for almost 6 hours just like most of the traditional lipsticks. The lipstick faded evenly, instead of from the middle. It is easy to reapply and also leaves a beautiful stain behind at the end of the day.
Overall, this is a beautiful retro-style lipstick, which is all the more special and beautiful. This is decently pigmented, comfortable, very opaque, and a lush-looking formula with amazing quality.
