Hair oils for Dry and Chemically-Treated Tresses:

1. Argan Hair oil – to treat frizziness.

Argan oil is mostly referred to as the miracle oil as it can work on a lot of problems related to hair. It is a must-have oil for every woman who loves to care for and pamper her tresses. Argan oil not only helps to fight frizziness, it’s also a multipurpose hair oil that makes your hair shiny and smooth. It works as a natural sunscreen too. Its benefits are never ending girls! It is loaded with omega 3 and omega 9. Also, it has vitamin E that provides all the required nutrition to hair.

2. Coconut Hair oil – for hair growth and for damaged hair.

It’s most widely used hair oil. We Indians completely believe in its properties and benefits. It is such a light-weight and non-greasy hair oil that fights dandruff and hair fall very well. Also, it aids in hair growth. Coconut oil improve hair’s texture making it soft. Just warm it up a bit. I quit hair conditioners when I use coconut oil, but I really hate the smell.

Hair Oils for Dull and Damaged Tresses:

1. Almond Hair oil – best suited for split ends and UV protection:

It is loaded with vitamins A, D and E which improve and fasten the process of hair growth by nourishing the hair follicles. It heals split ends and protects the hair from sun rays. Also, it improves blood circulation and adds shine to dull hair. The worst part of this hair oil is that it is very sticky. Also, I don’t know why, but I stated having hair fall when I started using it.

2. Olive Hair oil – best for chemically-straightened hair and colored hair.

I am quite fond of this hair oil as I often apply it overnight and so, next day, my hair feels amazingly soft and silky. This I can guarantee by my personal experience and I have dry and wavy hair, but what I hate about olive oil is that it’s very sticky, but it really does wonder for dry and damaged hair. I have got my hair colored and didn’t care for them for long, but now since the damage is showing up, I am using olive oil, which has helped me to quite a great extent.

Hair Oils for Itchy Scalp and Dandruff:

1. Grapeseed Hair oil – best to clear dandruff.

You can easily find this oil online. I use this oil for making different concoctions. It is a non-greasy oil which can also be applied directly on the scalp, but I prefer to use these essential oils in concoctions like thyme essential oil, rosemary essential oils, etc. it is known as a natural sunscreen. It contains high vitamin E and linoleic acid content.

2. Amla Hair oil – for grey hair and dandruff-prone hair.

The benefits of Indian gooseberry oil is something we all swear by! I blindly believe in amla oil as it has given miracle results on my mother’s hair. It is considered to be an anti-dandruff oil, but honestly, I am allergic to its smell, so I mix it up with coconut or olive oil and then apply on my hair. It restores the shine in my hair.

Also, a lot of us suffer from hair loss. Whether its hormonal or seasonal, my quick hair loss reduction remedy is to apply onion juice for an hour and then rinse with cold water. Do not apply shampoo. That day, I apply coconut or olive oil mixed with tea tree oil or jojoba oil or castor oil, whatever is available with me, and then shampoo the next day. Doing this for 2-3 weeks, my hair loss issue is alleviated to a great extent.
