8 Best Home Remedies for Itchy Rashes on Skin

Hope you all are doing well! Rashes appear in the form of red blisters or bumps on the skin. Many a time, you have an itchy rash which irritates the most and get swollen up after some time. Many also have rashes which are not itchy but have redness and leave the scars, that is mostly because of some allergy from a particular cosmetic product or might be any food item that did not suit your skin.

Especially in hot summer, you get rashes due to mixing up of sweat and dirt and getting inside the pores of your skin on neck, forehead, etc. So, finally, we have some effective home remedies for treating these rashes.

1. Aloe vera

Trust me, girls, this is the best remedy for all the skin problems. I have tried it out and seriously it works if you apply it regularly in the right way. Apply fresh aloe vera gel after washing your face well every morning, and see the miracle in some days. But, please note that there are various types of aloe vera plants and they affect differently. So, be careful. It has all the anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal properties that can cure your rashes within days.

2. Olive oil and Vitamin E oil

Olive oil mixed with Vitamin E oil is another best remedy which has proved to be very effective in my case. I tried it so many times to cure my rashes on the back of my neck due to sweat and due to applying deep heat pain relief. Nothing worked except for this olive oil and this showed an effect in 3 days only. I squeezed a Vitamin E capsule in little olive oil and applied on the rashes.

3. Soak in oatmeal bath

This is something very relaxing; trust me, I have tried it. Sleeping in the bath tub filled with milk and oats. Oatmeal is a humectant which helps to moisturize the skin and contains anti-inflammatory properties. Also, milk helps in relieving the skin by removing the dead cells and tan as well. If you don’t prefer to soak your body in milk, you can go ahead for warm water and oats. Or, else, baking soda is also another great remedy for itchy skin rashes.

4. Opt for basil leaves

Basil leaves are one of the best herbal treatments for all the skin problems. I usually crush the basil leaves, add a pinch of turmeric and apply on my itchy rashes and allergies; it heals the problematic area within a week. Then, why to waste money on going to the dermatologist and eating pills? Also, another very effective remedy is to take one tablespoon of olive oil, two garlic cloves and a pinch of salt, blend and apply it only on the neck rashes area twice a week.

5. Lacto Calamine is your best friend

There is a reason behind why girls loving Lacto Calamine. It heals almost all the rashes and scars, marks, dark spots if any on your face and body. I was recommended to use Lacto Calamine or any kind of Calamine lotion even to treat my chicken pox scars and it literally worked. It gives a soothing cooling feeling which evaporates from your skin after some time.

Most of you would be aware of this, as it helps acne prone skin and, of course, skin with allergies and rashes in the best possible manner. Use a cotton ball dipped in apple cider vinegar and keep giving cold compress on the itchy or poisonous rashes to keep pulling out the toxins from the skin and relieve the itchy rash. It also helps in balancing the acid level of the skin and is very useful for dry skin rashes along with ice pack for the cold compress.

7. Use humidifier in your house

Here, at my place, this thing is very common; as the house does not get proper sun heat, so humidifier becomes a must to avoid skin allergies. For chronically dry skin which leads to rashes, a humidifier can solve the issue in days. Also, dermatologists suggest having one in your room as it helps to make your skin look young, while you sleep, by adding extra moisture in the air and making it fresh.

8. Cinnamon pack for forehead rashes

Cinnamon is a great remedy for weight loss and cholesterol issues, but it treats your forehead rashes as well if you mix an appropriate amount of it with a teaspoon of fresh lemon juice and apply it over the affected area on face rashes and keep it for maximum 10 minutes and wash it off with cold water. Repeat twice a week and if it stings a lot, then wash off and apply an ice pack or olive oil immediately.

Some basic tips for rashes:
• Don’t use chemical based soaps.
• Consume Vitamin C, as it prevents the body from all types of skin infections.
• If you are allergic to certain plants or substances, avoid getting in contact with them.
• Apply sunscreen, as rashes are also caused due to sun exposure.
• Keep your skin moist by applying a good body lotion.
• Avoid scratching the skin with rashes.
• Apply tomato puree every week to stay free from allergies.
