Today let us take a look at my most favorite blushes, mainly because they come in all textures and shades, I own mauve and nutmeg and love them, need so many more 😛
When you see the pics, you might think, this will hardly add any color, who would want to use this as a blush, the swatch will confirm this, but trust me, when I wear this, first of all it mattifies my skin, secondly, it really gives a natural flush, as in no pink blush happening but still it wont make me look like I am wearing only foundation or compact but this will complete the look.
This blush is incredibly pigmented and easy to blend in. I have used it many times and I feel that I have always dabbed a tissue/ cotton on it after I have applied the blush. This looks tricky on average Indian skin. It will look gorgeous on the ladies of the fair side. On a lighter note, if Barbie were a human, she would totally prefer this shade all the time. The colorstays for a good time. It lasted on me for 3-4 hours, on foundation. If a makeup newbie is applying this blush, it might look dicey. They can use light hand and take a small amount, else they will end up looking like a clown.
The blush is a very natural and soft peachy pink with tiny gold glitters that is not chunky like many drugstore brands. The pigmentation is great, maybe not as much as Nyx’s other powder blush shades, but it’s the perfect kind of sheer for it to look natural and radiant.
The blush texture is really smooth and silky, very finely milled. I think its really pretty and has made me think of buying more blushes with a hint of gold shimmer. I think it will suit our Indian skin tones pretty well since it has warm undertones.
NYX Powder blush Mocha is dusty pink colour with yellow undertones. Mocha is matte, madly pigmented and blends superbly.
This particular product is meant to be a blush but the shade is so pretty that I think it would look stunning on the eyes too. I am not sure whether I can use it on my eyes or not, whether the formulation is safe or not, but I would surly try to find that out and if possible will use it on my eyes as a beautiful copper.
Cocoa is a beautiful deep reddish brown shade. It does not have any shimmer and goes on completely matte. The powder is very finely milled and feels very silky and glides smoothly on skin. This shade is not as pigmented as other NYX blushes
Angel is a soft baby pink kind of a shade which have no shimmers. I love the fact that it does not have shimmers as shimmers make the blush obvious. But as there are no shimmers in it, the color looks natural. I have always heard that NYX blushes are high in pigmentation and this is a good example of the same. Angel is such a light shade that it won’t show up on cheeks if it’s not so pigmented. When applied it gives a beautiful natural glow to the face, a character described by the company
NYX Powder Blush in Espresso
Espresso has a velvety texture and feels satin like on the skin. Though it crumbles in the pan a bit, but there is no major fallout as such. It goes on the skin effortlessly and is easily buildable too
“Red Cheeks cream blush is a smooth, creamy formula, which is easily blendable and spreads nicely either with a brush or with finger tips. I usually use my finger tips to apply this blush. There is no shimmer in this. The colour stays on the face for a good 4 hours, which is pretty good I guess. Usually, I apply loose powder or compact after I have applied this blush to set it in. If I want a dewy appearance, I skip the compact part, just apply the blush and leave it like that.”
“I like the concept of this mosaic powder blush, it’s a versatile product which you can use in several ways, like as a blush, highlighter, bronzer, eye shadow. I even use one of its dark shade to contour my nose and cheeks sometimes. I can also easy use this product lightly all over the face and I feel the overall effect of this particular shade peachy is pretty close to MAC mineral skin finish”
More delicious than peaches and cream? We like to think so. Our velvety smooth mineral Rouge Cream Blush offers a sheer wash of radiant color. The glorious payoff is dewy, sultry and long-lasting.
the shade caught my fancy when I was coming across a spate of reviews on orange/coral blushes and lipsticks. NYX orange blush is a bright, bold orange. In the swatch, it may seem to be a little neon too, but once applied and blended well, it looks wonderful. I notice that on me, it looks much better than the shade natural in cream blush. This is my favourite of all the NYX cream blushes
“As the name suggests, Hot Pink is a bright pink shade. When I first saw the pan, I wondered whether I will be able to pull it off or not as I prefer subtle shades in blushes, but the shades looks decent/proper pink when blended in and nothing I could call over the top”
“this shade is somewhere in between being sheer and pigmented and as you can see it is a very warm colour and that’s why it’ll suit most of us Indians ! It has very small shimmer particles which are not that visible it just gives the blush a golden shine and on the face even the golden shimmer is hardly visible!”
It’s a very soft cream blush that glides on your cheeks easily. It’s a buildable blush so it’s easier to work with. Mostly cream blushes are very pigmented so you tend to go over board with them. I don’t face such problem with NYX cream blush.

Brighten and define your cheeks this season with NYX Powder Blush. NYX Powder Blush has fabulous check colors to choose from. For a touch of soft color on your cheeks, apply these sheer and easy to wear shades.
The texture is very smooth, hence the name “Silky” Rose and the color blends very easily. The staying power is excellent, it lasts me all day. Other than applying it to the apples of my cheeks, I also like to apply it in the hollow of my cheeks as well. It gives my face a much defined look.
“The shade is a gorgeous nude one, like I said. It is a peachy nude, absolutely matte, no shimmer or frost and hence makes it even more wearable during day and I can wear it even without looking in the mirror as this shade won’t look artificially pink even if I layer it on.”
“Though it looks dark maroon in the pan, when blended properly it gives more of a peachy pink look on the cheeks with a hint of red. It doesn’t contain any shimmer or shine. Being very dark, one can easily end up with clown cheeks with this blush. To prevent this, I always apply just one or two dots of this blush on my cheek and then blend it properly by tapping it on cheeks”
The colour is a bright orange in matte finish. Coming to the blush quality, I found the blush to have good pigmentation and I didn’t ever feel it to be chalky or too dry. With this colour, a little goes a long way.
“Cocoa looks like a brownish shade in the case but on my cheeks it looks more reddish than brown. This is a madly pigmented blush which you can easily go overboard with and end up looking like a clown. This is especially true for unexperienced blush users like me. It provides a good wash of color on a light application itself; so have to be very careful of how much you apply”
So do you want all like me? I love their blushes and recommend too, which ones have you tried?
