Bh Cosmetics 88 Color Tropical Shimmer Palette
My favourite eye shadow palette by far.

The website deliver to India obviously and also offers four 120 color palettes, cool,tropical, color shimmer palettes, singles, 26 blush shadow palette, 28 neutral palette and so on. Difficult to chose but when I picked up one I decided based on what I want like 88 or 120. shimmer or matte, neutral warm or color cool or warm and so on. And also the cost factor, lol!
The packaging is gorgeous, shiny, sturdy black, something like a palm top!
There was a time when I never knew what an 88 or 120 palette was. Then, I learnt about the Coastal Scents palette and lusted after them. Never did I think that I would be spending $$ to get my hands on one of them. Then, I was enlightened about the other brands like Bh cosmetics who also made fabulous palettes and deliver to India as well for as much as 5$, maybe for shipping one palette.
By far, I found this palette to be the most beautiful one and very wearable considering tropical theme. It’s the most pigmented, staying, blendable eyeshadow with a host of colors to offer, even browns to wear to the supermarket! Yes I do that, considering the beautiful makeup that the British women apply, I dare not leave home without some makeup on! :tremble:
Eye shadows fall second in line after my lipstick craze and I do have a lot of eye shadows that I keep buying in spite of this palette. When I was to select this one, I made sure I did not get the cool palette as it would have obvious blues and greens, which I will not be able to use much. I was sure to get warmer colors and avoid the brighter ones that the cool palette offers. 88 color was a decent number to have rather than the 120 :toothygrin:, but then we are all greedy for makeup, aren’t we?
My Take on Bh Cosmetics 88 Color Tropical Shimmer Palette:
When it says tropical, I understand that it would not have cool vibrant colors, but colors that are warmer with a mix of some blues too, as its an 88 palette. Its a perfect blend of warm browns, pearl and shimmer finish (I love pearl finishes the best), very wearable pinks and oranges as well to match with your outfits.
I would probably say this is a best “first timer” palette any day for a newcomer as opposed to a cool palette, which can be a little difficult to work with everyday. I would recommend this palette to anyone who doesn’t have one or is contemplating on getting one. This can be a perfect one for you like it was for me. The colors are superbly pigmented, smooth, and blend like a dream.
These are very intense, so start with less as you can end up with a lot. This is what happened with me the first time when I tried to put some in the crease and it was just fixed there and ended up all brown above the crease. These stay for six hours on my oily lids and set after application. So, be fast to blend them and also place the color correctly in the first place.
The browns, oranges, and silvers are my favourite. Although, I did find a blue which was not as smooth and pigmented, but I will pass that as I found just two or three hard or not so pigmented colors in the whole bunch which is passable. The particular light blue can be seen in the pic as well.
Last Word:
Being in England for a while, I noticed that like India, dark black eye kohl or liner is a big statement here. Also, I am going nuts over bronzers these days and picked up many, the ladies here never leave home without some pretty eyeshaow and dark liner love it! This can be anyone’s first eye shadow palette like it was mine. Very warm and wearable, super pigmented and stays long enough. The packaging is superbly gorgeous and sturdy and reached me in multiple layers of bubble wrap. so these are absolutely intact. I don’t have any complaints even though there were a few which were hard in texture. These are superb quality shadows, any day, just that the pans are a little smaller than I had imagined them to be. If I end up using one favourite brown, I will hit the pan very soon. This palette does not mean I have stopped buying more shadows, but this can very well be your answer to all shadows 😛 These deliver whatever I need from a shadow plus the intensity and pigmentation and beautiful colors.

Yes Shilpa there is a shimmer pallette by VOV it has almost 98 shades.. all are very pigmeted and good… :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

I loved loved the colors of this palette..definitely adding it to my wish list! the colors are so pearly and are so subtle and elegant..could carry of easily! Oh i so wish indian woman start wearing makeup…here even if i wear kohl and a colorful eyeliner..people think its over board 🙁
