BH Cosmetics had recently hosted a sale and I hauled quite a few products from them. Today, I am reviewing one such product which I bought during the sale – the BH Studio Pro HD foundation. Read on to find out how this fared on me.
$15.95 for 1.08 fl oz / 32 mL; I got it for $8.
Get camera ready with this skin perfecting and water resistant HD Foundation. Oil-free with light diffusing pigments evens out skin for a smooth, soft-focus effect. The foundation utilizes Prodew 500, a key ingredient that helps to moisturize and strengthen the skin for a naturally flawless and radiant complexion.
My Experience with BH Cosmetics BH Studio Pro HD Foundation:
Packaging: The foundation comes in a sleek bottle with a black cap. The bottle is transparent and that can help in identifying the color of the foundation or knowing how much of the product is left. It has a pump mechanism which is quite convenient to use.
Texture/Finish/Lasting Power: The foundation has a consistency almost like a creamy lotion. It blends pretty well with a brush or fingers. It is quite lightweight and does not feel heavy on the skin. The finish seems a bit dewy when you apply but it soon settles to a matte finish.
The coverage is medium and provides a nice even skin tone in one layer. The coverage is surely buildable to slightly more without looking cake-y. But, it does not provide a full coverage and you would need a concealer for any heavy skin imperfections.
I have a combination skin and my T-zone becomes quite oily over the day. So, for me a foundation test involves checking out how it performs on my T-zone over the day. I noticed that this foundation rubs off a bit especially in the heat and you would need to set it with a powder. With a powder, it lasts for 7-8 hours and does not make my skin oily or shiny. Nor does the makeup start looking patchy.
Overall, this foundation is true to all the claims that it makes and I am happy with it.
Pros of BH Cosmetics BH Studio Pro HD Foundation:

- Has a light feel and provides medium coverage.
- Easily blendable with brush or fingers.

Cons of BH Cosmetics BH Studio Pro HD Foundation:
- The foundation tends to rub off if not set with a powder.
