Today I have a product that I had been eyeing since long, and I finally got hold of it. BH Cosmetics Forever Nude Palette was launched quite long ago along with BH Cosmetics Forever Glam Palette and the brand recently launched the Forever Smoky Palette too. Let’s see if the Forever Nude Palette is a hit or a miss.
Enchant them all with this timeless collection of sweet and tempting neutrals. The Forever Nude Eyeshadow, Blush and Lip Color Palette features 6 deluxe size eyeshadows in shimmer, satin and matte finishes along with 2 silky blushes and 2 creamy shades of lip color. Create endless looks that are sinfully soft and sexy by mixing and matching these glowing shades of NUDE!
My Experience with BH Cosmetics Forever Nude Palette:
The packaging has been definitely worked upon by the brand. The nude-colored palette houses 6 eyeshadows, one highlighter, two blushes and two lipglosses. There is a big enough mirror fixed inside but no brushes are included in the palette. It is a lightweight, sturdy and travel-friendly palette.
I will start with the blushes. The cheek duo comprises a matte nude and a shimmery pink. Both of the blushes are subtle and lack deep pigmentation, which can be the reason to incorporate them in a neutral compact palette. The nude one has a matte finish and the color payoff is just fine. The shade isn’t too pigmented, so you will never go over the top. When swatched, the shade looks more like a nude brown shade. Next to it is a sparkly pink cheek color but absolutely acceptable. The pink is mild, the shimmer is controlled, and the sparkles are microsized. It just looks like a satiny light pink, just contradictory to what I expected but pleased with the effect. The texture of blushes is finely milled and can be worked on easily. Blushes are blendable and a couple of swipes will ensure good longevity too.
Next to the cheeky portion is the highlighter, which turned out to be a disappointment. It is matte in finish and lacks softness in texture. The pigmentation is average. I just see it preferably used as an off-white eyeshadow rather than a highlighter. The two pans of lip glosses failed to impress me. They have a thick texture and are difficult to work with. The creamy nude and the shimmery pink lipglosses look attractive in the pans but are poorly pigmented. The use of fingers seems unhygienic and BH cosmetics should have included a small lip brush if they really wanted the consumer to use them. The shades were perfect for the nude palette but then the formula failed completely.
The eyeshadows are the best attraction and have gained a good rating from me. The first one is a cool mauve with a glittery finish and pretty good pigmentation. Next is a pigmented one in taupe shade with a satiny finish. The middle row contains matte rose pink, which will need a couple of swipes to deepen the shade and warm ivory with a satiny finish. I love the ivory to limits. The last row contains a warm bronze which is shimmery and carries good pigmentation. Next to it is a matte chocolate brown which is deep and pigmented. All the eyeshadows are soft and finely powdered in texture and I found them really blendable. Their longevity is good with 5-6 hours wear time on average without a primer. But these characteristics vary with the intensity of shades. There isn’t any considerable fallout or creasing issue with eyeshadows.
Pros of BH Cosmetics Forever Nude Palette:
• A compact, neutral makeup palette with a big mirror, sleek packaging.
• Six beautiful eyeshadows (pink, bronze, ivory, mauve, taupe and chocolate) with variable finishes (matte, satin and shimmer).
• Eyeshadows are blendable, soft in texture, with a good wearing time and good pigmentation.
• Two sheer blushes: a nude with matte finish and a light shimmery pink.
• One matte highlighter.
• Two lip glosses, nude brown and shimmery pink.
• The palette is often on sale on the BH Cosmetics website.
Cons of BH Cosmetics Forever Nude Palette:
• The lipglosses are difficult to work with and I wish the palette had a small lip brush inside for hygiene purposes.
• The highlighter is useless.
• I wish the pink blush was matte too though it isn’t awkwardly shimmery or chunky glittery.
IMBB Ratings: Eyeshadows: 4.5/5, Blushes: 3.5/5, Highlighter: 1/5, Lipglosses: 2/5
Overall Rating: 3/5
Would I Repurchase/Recommend BH Cosmetics Forever Nude Palette:
At first look, this seems a nice, compact and comprehensive palette for neutral makeup look but I will not recommend splurging on it when sold with a $22 price tag. However, at times it goes on sale at as low as $6. That’s the time to pick this up if you are interested. I will not repurchase it.
