I do not own too many blushes as I hardly use them, but I recently picked up a blush from BH Cosmetics – Floral Blush Duo – Iris. Read on to find out if I liked it or not.
$9.95; I got it on sale for $4.
Every budding beauty needs the perfect cheek flush. BH Floral Blush Duos are inspired by flower petals and their feminine, soft colors and include two shades inside each mirror, magnetic palette. Swirl the two shades together and apply or use them separately to sculpt a lovely glow.
My Experience with BH Cosmetics Iris Floral Blush Duo:
The Floral Blush Duos from BH Cosmetics come in 5 shades named after flowers – Iris, Tulip, Rose, Daisy and Lilac. I picked up the shade “Iris.”
Packaging: The blush comes in a colorful square hard cardboard case with a lid that closes magnetically. The packaging is very girly and attractive. Each case comes with 2 blush shades. There are 2 semi-circle metallic pans with the actual products. There is also a small mirror provided. I personally do not like products with magnetically closing lids as I feel that the magnet starts wearing down after some time and there are chances of the case opening accidentally.
Color/Texture/Lasting Power: As the name suggests, the Floral Blush duos have 2 shades – a lighter and a darker shade. You can use both the shades together or use the lighter one as a highlighter.
In Iris, the darker shade is a deep berry. It is strongly pigmented and is a gorgeous shade with a matte finish. But do not be worried about how dark it looks in the pan. If applied with a light hand, it appears as a lovely rosy shade which will suit all skin tones.
The lighter shade is a peachy coral shade and has a slight sheen to it. Beauties with a very light skin tone could use this as a blush, others can use it as a highlight.
You can of course swirl your brush in both the shades to create a lovely rosy shade with the right amount of sheen. I feel that the best part about this blush is that you can vary the intensity of the application and can go as light or as heavy as you want.
The blushes have a slightly powdery texture, but the good part is that they do not appear as chalky on the face and blend pretty easily. It does not make your skin dry either. The blush is pretty long lasting and easily lasts on me for 5-6 hrs. I surely didn’t need to reapply my blush throughout the day.
To summarize, the BH Floral Blush Duo is strongly pigmented, long lasting and with a pretty good texture and it also comes in a cute girly packaging at a very affordable price. What more can you ask for??
