BH Cosmetics Malibu Eyeshadow and Blush Palette Review

I am here again with one more BH cosmetics Malibu Eyeshadow and Blush Palette. Many of you might be thinking one after the other, same brand reviews; have I hit a jackpot or won a lucky draw! So let me explain that since BH Cosmetics delivers internationally, but takes a lot of amount as minimum delivery charges; I emptied my account and hauled as much as I can for that delivery charges so that I write reviews and never think about the brand again :D. I have seen these palettes on internet and online stores and really drooled over them for their colourful looks. When it came to choose one from the three variants, I chose the most bold and lively one. Read on for BH Malibu Palette’s details.

My Experience with BH Cosmetics Malibu Eyeshadow and Blush Palette:

The packaging of the palette is the main attraction – it is a love at first sight kind of thing :P. The palette material is made of card box (like The Balm’s products) and closes with magnetic closure. It is basically a very compact and travel type palette because of the fact that it not only contains 16 themed eyeshadows and 4 blushes (which actually includes a contouring one and a highlighter), but it is completely foldable. The palette folds into a small square compact which when unfolded reveals two eyeshadow compartments, on the left and the right and 4 blushes in the centre, all protected with plastic sheet. It also includes a small mirror and the packaging is really lively and colourful with yellow and blue beach looks. Refer to the images for more.

Now, let me start with the blushes first as when it comes to a choice between eyeshadows and blushes, I prefer blushes (no offence to eyeshadows please, it is just a matter of personal preference :P). It contains a pretty true pink blush with matte finish and perfect pigmentation to build up color on cheeks without going overboard. The next shade is a dark bronzer. Then comes a satiny highlighter and the last one is a neutral shade. All of them are not excellent but really good at pigmentation. The texture is smooth, but not very finely milled, well compacted but the design of palette invites the fallout to accumulate and get the palette a little messy with regular use. The longevity of blushes is average without primer, say 5 hours, but can be improved over foundation and primer.

The Malibu Eyeshadow and Blush Palette houses 16 eyeshadows, I may shuffle the sequence, so pardon me for that. The left flap eyeshades include a matte vibrant yellow, matte royal blue, matte neutral, matte white, matte aqua blue, matte lime green, matte black and matte copper.

When you move to the right flap, you find a shimmery sea green, shimmery teal, satiny wine, satiny muted golden, matte sky blue, matte navy, matte brown and matte peach. All the eye shadows are extremely pigmented. The swatches are single touch without any primer. The wearing time is too good and minimum fallout. The texture is smooth and finely milled.

The palette is good for travelling, accompanied with a mirror. You just need to take your favourite brush set along with it. No shade accentuates pores or has never broken me out.

• Good pigmentation and texture of blushes with good longevity which can be improved with a primer underneath.
• Wonderfully pigmented 16 eyeshadows with long wearing time and smooth texture.
• Lovely shade selection of eyeshadows.
• Easy blending, non-chalky shades.
• No breakouts or enhanced pores observed.

Cons of BH Cosmetics Malibu Eyeshadow and Blush Palette:

• Contains parabens.
• Gets a bit messy with use.

Final Verdict:

This is a good palette for those who love lively shades and want a compact and handy palette.  I will not repurchase this palette, but definitely recommend it.
