Skin type: Oily and sensitive
Summer is killing here in my city. I am from a super humid city, so I always need a good base or something which can control oil and fill up my pores. I have open pores around my T-zone and during summer, I usually look like an oil factory. So, after reading so many good reviews, I have purchased this Bioderma Sebium Pore Refiner. Now, read on to know how it fared for my super oily skin.
Price: Rs. 1675 for 30ml

My Experience with Bioderma Sebium Pore Refiner:
This pore refiner comes in a very normal white paper cardbox with lots of details and information on it. Actual product comes in a white tube with a normal screw cap. The packaging is very simple and lightweight, and it’s totally secure to carry. This one tube contains 30ml of product which is priced at Rs. 1675. It is, definitely, an expensive one but it becomes quite a worthy buy.
It has a very smooth and soft white gel texture which blends effortlessly on the skin and feels very smooth as well. The consistency is perfect to blend easily and it never feels patchy or dry. It has some instant freshness and provides a soothing effect to the skin as well. I really like its formula which feels extremely light on the skin, and gets absorbed quickly within a minute. It doesn’t feel sticky or heavy. It instantly provides soft, smooth skin. It also contains a fresh smell which I think all woul be good with. It also provides good hydration to skin and keeps it soft for long. This product is good for all skin types.
This product has been specially designed to refine pores and make them less visible. But, the fact is that you can’t totally remove pores from the skin. It is a basic feature of the skin and if you have oily skin, then they are more visible and open. So, a pore refiner only can reduce them or can minimize the size of pores, but can’t remove them permanently. In this sense, this product works very well.
Its smooth formula helps a lot to make my skin feel smoother and softer. It instantly helps to make pores less visible and fill them up. It acts a great base for makeup and you can also use it as a daily cream base. Basically, it is a regular useable moisturiser that actually helps to make skin smoother and reduce the size of pores. It is not a miracle product which helps to get rid of pores, but definitely, can tighten up those open pores for a few hours and provide a fresh matte skin. I have noticed some difference on my skin. It gives me a flawless base and provides a healthy finish.
It has a nice velvety matte finish and totally hides that shiny look from the face. It keeps skin away from that excess oiliness and keeps the skin oil free for a good time for over 4 hours. But obviously, it can’t control sweat which I think any product can’t. But, it really is a blessed product for people with oily skin. It actually suits me well and keeps my skin oil free for a good time. But, after that 4-5 hours, my T-zone slightly becomes oily again and I need to set that. Now, it depends on the area in which you are spending your time. If you are in an air conditioning room, then it will keep your skin oil free for long, and if you are exposed to the sun, it works for a little less time.
I love to use this product underneath my makeup, and it acts as a great primer which also helps to last my makeup for long without any breakout. It prevents makeup from creasing and controls shine as well. I really like the way how it keeps my skin fresh and smooth throughout the day. It suits my sensitive skin well and never caused my skin to breakout.
I have been using it for over 2 weeks now, it can’t close my open pores, but yes, it makes them less visible. It is actually more of a good mattifying moisturizer or a primer which makes skin smoother. But, it can’t really clean my pores like it claims. Overall, it is definitely a great buy.
