Biotique Bio Coco Butter Tissue Firming Body Balm Review

Hello dear people,

I had noticed a few stretch marks around my thigh and below low waist area. I was looking to solve this issue but they weren’t that big that I would go for Palmer’s cocoa butter range because they have big tubs and bottles which would be useless for me. Hence I got this one which claimed the similar things. The ingredient list impressed me a lot and I believe a lot in natural remedies, so this had to be given a shot. Let’s see how it worked for my little stretch marks and scars.

My Experience with Biotique Bio Coco Butter Tissue Firming Body Balm:

Most of the pregnant ladies get stretch marks after they deliver a baby but I got it before hand lol 😛 I think it is pretty normal for the skin to stretch a bit. Palmer’s cocoa butter range has been the best among all the ranges when it comes to stretch marks, but they take forever to be finished. Hence I got this similar small tub from Biotique. I got a 50 grams tub which comes in a white and green packaging which looks decent but not appealing! It is pretty easy to carry around due to its convenient packaging. It contains all natural ingredients which would make it even more effective.

Except for the cream base there is no more chemical in it and they have to be applauded for that. The cream comes in serene white colour and the consistency is super thick. But not a lot of amount is needed at once, because during application is smoothes out very well. I used it only on stretch marks and a few little marks/scars. The fragrance is something that I did not like; it smells more of a herbal cream though it is. But a little hint of cocoa butter would have been great. At-least I would enjoy using it. This cream smells more of spicy herbs which I dislike. Although, the fragrance settles down in a while! And adding to it the stretch marks are below my low waist, so smell won’t make much of a difference.I wish the consistency would have been a little moderate and not this thick because then I could have massaged this. This gets absorbed in just like a minute, so there is no scope of a massage.

Coming to how did it work, yes it worked for my stretch marks to a very good extent. I used this for a month and I can clearly see the difference. In-fact I could see it fading day by day. The entire marks haven’t gone but just some 10% is visible which is great. It also hydrated my skin very well because of the cocoa butter presence. But it did not help me with the scars, I could see them just a bit but not something that was happy with. Hence I feel this works very well for stretch marks but not for scars.

• The consistency is thick but glides smoothly on my skin.

Cons of Biotique Bio Coco Butter Tissue Firming Body Balm:-

• The fragrance smells like herbal spices and it isn’t that appealing; I wish it had a hint of cocoa butter to it.
• I had 2 little scars around my thigh area but I couldn’t see a vast difference even after suing this for around a month; forget about the bigger scars.
• It can’t be massaged even a little because of the consistency it gets absorbed instantly.

Will I Repurchase/Recommend Biotique Bio Coco Butter Tissue Firming Body Balm?

Umm, I liked how this worked. But I would still pick the palmer’s cocoa butter range if I get more stretch marks in the future. I would recommend it only if you don’t want to splurge on Palmer’s, this is a cheaper and an effective alternative.

Rating: 3.5/5

Conclusion: I would rather go to try bio oil next because it claims to work great for scars too.

  1. I have also developed stretch marks on my thighs due to weight fluctuations, but I guess I would rather try Palmer’s now. Had been contemplating getting it for a while now.

    1. You should surely get it shikhaaaaaaa 🙂 both of these would work well but yes the palmer’s works better.. it is the time to get one because if they double up it will be more of a work 🙁
