Lately I’ve turned to a lot of skincare products because the summers have really created a havoc on my skin and I’m trying to restore the damage done to my skin and hair. So in the quest for finding good products for my skin, I came across this product in my nearby super market and the words ‘revitalizing and tan-removal’ were good enough to allure me and make me try this product. So let’s see how this one turned out,
This exfoliating scrub is blended with pure papaya fruit to dissolve dead surface cells, unclog pore openings and smooth the way for clear skin to surface. Gentle refining action uncovers skin’s natural brightness for a younger-looking complexion.
How to Use:
Price: INR 199 for 75g
My Experience with Biotique Bio Papaya Revitalizing Tan-Removal Scrub:
The scrub comes in the patent Biotique packaging that is, a wide mouthed, white coloured tub with a green screw cap. There’s a white plastic lid to the tub that prevents spillage of the product and also prevents the scrub from coming in contact with the cap. This keeps the mouth of the product neat and hygienic by preventing product accumulation around the rim. The tub comes in a cardboard carton which holds all the details of the product. Overall, I would call it a decent packaging though I would’ve preferred a tube packaging as that would help with the hygiene factor.
The scrub has a really sweet and mild fruity fragrance which I love and isn’t nauseating in anyway. The scrub is greyish white (if anything like that exists :P) in colour and the black little exfoliating particles are good enough for removing impurities from the face. The scrub isn’t really harsh so as to give soreness to the skin like the Lotus Apriscrub did, rather it’s quite gentle and effective.
I have a combination skin and my t-zone gets quite oily in the summers which lead to a lot of blackhead accumulation but with this product removing the blackheads has become quite easy. This year I swimmed a lot in the summers and the chlorine in the pool along with the harsh rays of the skin, tanned my skin and made me two tones darker. I used this scrub regularly for a month while taking a shower post swimming and I could instantly see the dullness of my face fading off and with every wash I could feel that I was recovering the lost smoothness and glow on my face.
So I would say that this product really stood by its claims of revitalizing and tan removal which is great because these days products come with tall claims and rarely stand by them.
Summing up the pros and cons,
Pros of Biotique Bio Papaya Revitalizing Tan-Removal Scrub:
• Soothing fragrance.
• Neat packaging which prevents product spillage.
• Effective in tan removal.
• Isn’t harsh on the skin.
• Helps remove blackheads.
• Adds glow and softness to the skin.
Cons of Biotique Bio Papaya Revitalizing Tan-Removal Scrub:
• I wish the price was a little lesser or they added a bit more product at this price.
• I would’ve preferred a tube packaging.
IMBB Rating: 4.75/5
Overall I’m totally head over heels in love with this scrub as it’s one of the few scrubs that has actually worked for me. It’s gentle on the skin and is super effective in blackhead and tan removal and I’m already on my second tub. I would keep repurchasing it as long as the brand makes it. I know for many people this brand doesn’t work at all so I wouldn’t recommend it to everyone but for those whom the brand has worked previously, do give a shot I promise you wouldn’t be disappointed.
