Its summers already and all that I require is just a sunscreen and a bottle of water, and I am all set to go out!

There are a plethora of sunscreens, sun gels, sun blocks already reviewed on IMBB and the product I am gonna review says, it’s a Sun Lotion!  Read on to know why this sun lotion is one my favorite!

Ingredients:

Safed chandan, Ashwagandha, Nag Kesar, Ankurit gehun, Madhu, arjun, Rakt chandan, Lodhra, Mom, Sunflower, Himalayan water.

Price:

INR 209 for 120 ml.

Product Description:

This nutrient-rich lotion protects skin with broad spectrum SPF 50 UVA/UVB sunscreen.  Helps reduce the risk of skin aging, skin cancer, and other harmful effects of the sun. Organically pure and preservative free. Dermatologist tested for safety. No animal testing.

Directions To Use:

Apply liberally before sun exposure. Reapply as needed after swimming or perspiring activities.

My Experience with Biotique Bio Sandalwood Face and Body Sun Lotion:

Packaging is usual Biotique bottle packaging, green screw cap and a see-through bottle.  I am totally head over heels in love with this product!  Everything from the texture to the smell to the efficiency of the product, I love it! It’s cream in color with a tinge of pink to it. Neither too runny nor too think. It has a perfect body lotion consistency and it has SPF 50.  I have dry skin and an oily T-Zone. It doesn’t give a white cast or leave me all greasy. It disappears into the skin the moment u apply it. I totally despise sunblocks/Screens which give out that greasy feeling.

It smells of some herbs with sandalwood being prominent and fades away after a couple of minutes of application. I never felt like I have something on me, its very light and moisturizing at the same time.  I have very dry elbows and knees and its moisturizing enough for them. It has become a must-have for me in summers.

Pros of Biotique Bio Sandalwood Face and Body Sun Lotion:

• Of course, the herbal ingredients.
• Never tanned me!
• It claims that it suits all skin types and “very water resistant”!
• Moisturizing + sun protection.
• No greasy or oily feeling upon application.
• Very light on skin.
• Has a mild sandalwood fragrance which wouldn’t bother people with a sensitive nose.
• No parabens, no animal testing.

Cons of Biotique Bio Sandalwood Face and Body Sun Lotion:

• Might need re-application (I am too lazy for these stuff, so con for people like me).
• The packaging.  All Biotique products have such sad and difficult packaging. When I am in a hurry, I can’t wait till I screw open the cap and apply and close it.
