Biotique Bio Sea Kelp Fresh Growth Revitalizing Conditioner Review

Biotique Bio Sea Kelp Fresh Growth Revitalizing Conditioner Review

Today, I am here with a hair conditioner review. I am facing a lot of hair fall these days due to humidity and hard water here in Noida.  I am taking a lot of precautions and care to save my hair – be it oiling or applying hair masks, shampooing on alternate days and trying all products that says anti-hairfall/hair growth.  So, by now, you would have realized how I ended up trying this conditioner 😉

Biotique Bio Sea Kelp Conditioner

Price:

135 INR for 120 ml.

Shelf Life:

3 years.

Product Description:

This rich, nourishing conditioner silkens hair and promotes thicker, stronger, revitalized growth and healthy shine.

Directions To Use:

Biotique Bio Sea Kelp Conditioner

Packaging:

It’s a straight plastic bottle with screw cap, the usual Biotique packaging. The bottle looks similar to that of talcum powders.  Very boring packaging, but it is travel friendly.

My Experience with Biotique Bio Sea Kelp Fresh Growth Revitalizing Conditioner:

The conditioner is a light sea blue thick liquid.  When I took it on my hand for the first time, I felt it is a gel-like conditioner and quite unique.  All the hair conditioners that I have used till date are cream based, but this one is more like gel, that too in a lovely color. The color truly justifies the name “sea kelp.” The fragrance is a tad bit nauseating, it smells of some strong aftershave, but the scent does not stay in the hair for long.

Coming to performance, the conditioner was thick as a gel, but when I spread it on my hand, I felt like nothing is there, it just felt like water. It was not creamy, not sticky, not soapy – nothing at all. That was a real shock. When I tried to apply it on hair, I couldn’t feel anything. The bottle says spread it from scalp to strands, but I do not apply hair conditioner on my scalp. I applied it starting from mid length of my hair to the ends. It spread like water, giving no lather and there was no sign of conditioning effect on the hair.  I thought it was some unique composition.  I rinsed my hair with high hopes, but to my disappointment, it did nothing. Then, I waited for my hair to dry naturally, but again, I did not see any effect.  I tried this 3-4 times, but then started feeling that my hair was turning rough, so I stopped using this conditioner.

Cons of Biotique Bio Sea Kelp Fresh Growth Revitalizing Conditioner:

  • Very strong fragrance.
  • Made my hair rough and dull.
  • Has no effect on hair.
  • Does not do what it claims.

IMBB Rating:

1/5

I think it is more like a toner for hair, maybe it might work when used over a long period of time, but that would be risky.  I would not recommend this product to anyone.

  1. biotique products never work for me either. The sea kelp shampoo which I had tried had tangled my hair into a Saint`s matted mess
