Hi dear IMBBans!
How are you all? Today I am going to talk about a body massage oil from Biotique. My face is getting oily these days and the rest of my body is getting dry. I don’t know what to do! I decided to get some body oil to combat dry skin. Let’s see how Biotique Bio Vitamin Therapeutic Body Massage Oil turned out to be!

My Experience with Biotique Bio Vitamin Therapeutic Body Massage Oil:
I am not a body oil loving person. I bought this body oil because of its botanical extracts. I thought its time to give my skin the much need dose of a herbal oil. I occasionally massage my body, and only in winters. From now onwards I have decided to massage my skin at least once a week. Biotique Bio Vitamin Therapeutic Body Massage Oil comes in a transparent plastic bottle with a green cap. It is a big bottle; so not travel friendly.
The oil is transparent and light in consistency. The fragrance is strong and weird. It is a vegetable oil mixed with some strong Ayurvedic oil. Definitely not something I would like to apply after a shower! You know the smell of excess cooking oil which is left when we cook vegetables. First time when I applied it, I really felt as if I am applying that leftover cooking oil. I don’t want to be too dramatic about it, but that’s how I felt! Anyway, I applied it on my arms and legs. It is lightweight and it gets absorbed easily. That was the relief. It keeps my skin moisturised for 5-6 hours. The fragrance stays for long so can’t apply it and go out; thanks to the weird smell. I now use it at bedtime as it is non-sticky.
So, I have added it in my night time skin care regime. It does make the skin soft and smooth. My problem areas like my feet, elbow and knees are softer than before. I get a full body massage with this oil when I am staying home or I take a shower afterwards. It would have been better if the brand had added some essential oils to it. If you are looking for a quick absorbing body oil you can try this one. But, you have to bear the smell! I don’t like the fact that groundnut oil is the base oil here. There is mere 3% of therapeutic oil and rest of the ingredients is a mystery. I will stick to olive oil or almond oil for body massage. Because of this dud product I have lost my interest in body oils!
Pros of Biotique Biotique Bio Vitamin Therapeutic Body Massage Oil:
• Light in texture
• Makes skin soft and smooth
• Ideal for dry skin
• Organically pure and preservative free
• Dermatologist tested
• No animal testing
• Value for money
Cons of Biotique Bio Vitamin Therapeutic Body Massage Oil:
• Not travel friendly
• Fragrance is not so pleasing, rather it’s unbearable
• Not for oily skin
• Does nothing more than moisturising
• Ingredient list is a mystery
Would I Repurchase Biotique Bio Vitamin Therapeutic Body Massage Oil?
It would have been a great product for dry skinned people, but the weird fragrance and missing ingredients list made me cry. You just can’t add 2 drops of therapeutic oil to vegetable oil and name it “therapeutic” body massage oil. I will not purchase it again at all.
