Bite Beauty Almond Multistick Review

Hello gorgeous gals,

Today’s product under review is from a brand I’m finding really interesting nowadays. Too bad that it is predominantly a lip brand and I am trying to be on a lipstick ban! The product in question is a Multistick – which can be used on the lips, checks or eyes. So, let us get started with the review!

Bite Beauty Almond Multistick Review

Product Description:
What it is:  A multistick that applies like a cream and wears like a powder for weightless color application—just apply with your finger or a brush on the eyes, lips, and cheeks.

What it does:  With 35 percent powder in each Multistick bullet, this silicone-free formula creates a soft focus finish that’s blendable, breathable, and buildable. It features universal shades for the eyes, lips, and cheeks that compliment all skintones and are formulated to use anywhere on the face.  It is formulated without parabens, sulfates, or phthalates.

Suggested Usage:
Apply Multistick to eyes and cheeks with fingers like a cream shadow or blush, or on lips like a regular lipstick.

My Experience with Bite Beauty Almond Multistick:

Packaging:  The Multistick comes packaged in a typical Bite black lipstick packaging. It looks like the rubberised packaging NARS does, but it isn’t – thank God! The multistick is packaged like a lipstick bullet with a twist-up mechanism. The only difference is that this does not have a slant lip indentation like lipsticks usually have. The product cap seems to click securely in place, but if it falls down – the cap instantly comes off. It comes packaged in a beige cardboard box.

Color:  The shade, Almond, is described as a “rich mahogany” color. It is a warm-toned deep reddish brown shade. It works quite effortlessly for a warm, evening or a fall look.

As a blush – The one issue I tend to have with blushes with red undertone is that it can easily start looking like a case of rosacea. And since I do struggle with slight redness of skin from time to time, I tend to avoid such blushes or am constantly wary of them. However, I did not face this issue with the shade “Almond.” There is certain warmth and richness in the shade which makes it look fairly flattering on the skin. The only thing that I do take care of while applying it is that I skip the contour because I don’t want things to get too dark or look muddy. I place this lower to where I normally place a blush and use this to define the cheeks while adding colour. I think it will work across skin tones. Fair-skinned girls would need to use it with a very light hand.

As a lipstick, it is a interesting, deep neutral shade, works well on its own or when paired with the blush.

As an eyeshadow – it isn’t really the colour which one can use effortlessly. Not because the colour doesn’t blend or anything. Just that, with a product like a multistick – you expect it to be something you carry with you on the go. This isn’t the shade you are likely to reach for on the go! Though the shade is quite in line with the rusty, burgundy trend doing the rounds right now, this isn’t the shade most people would sport on their eyes – on its own. Yes, as part of the whole burgundy or rusty or burnt orange look – it is easy to incorporate, but not really on its own.

Texture:  The texture is quite interesting. It is creamy satin which settles into something which is neither too emollient, nor too powdery.

When used as a blush – it works really well. It blends so effortlessly and looks natural. The feel isn’t tacky, or too emollient or even too powdery. It sets and does not seem to slide around during the course of the day. It gives me decent wear time for a cream blush – about 6-7 hours or so, which I think is excellent for my oily skin.

As a lipstick, it glides on easily and gives full coverage to your lips. There is no tug or pull while applying. It settles into a semi-matte finish. It did not seem to create dry patches on the lips. Sometimes, multi-purpose products can leave a toll on the lips because they are primarily designed for the cheeks and they tend to leave the lips drying. This one on the contrary, is quite comfortable to wear. Also, it does not feather or bleed.

As an eyeshadow, it is again, super easy to blend. However, on my oily lids, it can turn to mush very easily – especially without a primer.

Pigmentation:  Excellent pigmentation, goes opaque in a single swipe. The colour goes on evenly and looks stunning. And at the same time, it is super easy to blend into a natural look – for lips, eyes or cheek.

Lasting Power: Lasting power depends on how you use it. As a blush – it gives me 6-7 hours wear, which may not be stellar; however, considering my oily skin, it’s excellent. As a lipstick, I get about the same wear time. As an eyeshadow, the wear time reduces drastically because of my oily lids. This needs a primer underneath, which to seems counter productive because with things like Laura Mercier caviar stick and MAC paint pots, I pretty much use the cream eyeshadow as a primer/base. This however does not fulfil that purpose.

To sum this up for you:

Pros of Bite Beauty Almond Multistick:

  • A beautiful deep reddish brown shade.
  • Great pigmentation.
  • Easy to apply from the tube.
  • Does not settle into the fine lines.
  • The colour hugs the lips nicely – no feathering or bleeding.
  • Hides lip pigmentation well.
  • Blends extremely easily – on cheeks or eyes.
  • Decent wear time on lips and cheeks.
  • Edible ingredients.
  • No Parabens, sulfates, or phthalates.

Cons of Bite Beauty Almond Multistick:

  • Not the ideal colour for the eyes – if used on its own.

IMBB Rating:

4/5

Overall Thoughts: I feel this is actually a good product because surprise! surprise! – it does work as a lip and cheek product very well. As an eye product, it has limitations because one – it needs a primer and two, not the best colour for the eyes! But, it really is something you can pop into your bag for an emergency or when you are on the run. It really works effortlessly. I don’t mind trying other shades in the range.
