My Experience with Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick – Rhubarb:

The lipstick comes in velvet touch grey bullet packaging with a tight shut cap; I like the curvaceous cap. The lipstick is housed safely inside car board packaging and it has significant lemony smell pretty much to my liking, which usually subsides post application. Overall I love this user friendly and travel friendly packaging.

packaging

My shade “Rhubarb” is described as rich plum rose which is true to its description and it comes as rich plum rose on my lips with luminous sheen. I could not detect the shimmers in its formula yet it possesses a shine unlike other shades I tried from this collection. It complements my pale skin tone really well and is thus suitable for every Indian pale/light/medium skin beauty I would say! It does have partly creamy texture and it nicely sits on my mildly dry lips but I love the fact that it is not as glossy, creamy as Radish. I mean I love Radish to fullest still I prefer non glossy and partially creamy lipsticks in summers; hence Rhubarb is perfect for me with its slight creamy, slight matte and lightweight finish over all.

bullet

Moreover, it gives nearly opaque coverage with luminous sheen which makes it suitable enough for pigmented lips as well. I find it decently hydrating which is fine to me again as I don’t need intense moisturizing lip products for summers. Plus it maintains stiffness in its finish and formula’ yet it’s more slippery than Persimmon which gives non-bleeding, no-feathering finish on my lips.

lipstick and outer box

Like any lipstick it does transfer, yet it stays for decent 5-6 hours on my lips with a saturated finish over all. I do experience that the finish dries over a period of time but nothing bothering or worth noticing as I feel pretty comfortable lips as long as the shade stays on lips. The lipstick usually fades after one heavy meal which needs re-application or touch ups.

rhubarb

Some worth mentioning points: it did not sit on top of my dry patches, didn’t sit in lip lines through out of its wear time even when it dried down to partly creamy finish. It won’t melt unlike creamy lipsticks in hot weather; expect a precise finish with its stiff yet soft finish.

Pros of Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick – Rhubarb:

• A luminous, rich plum rose lipstick.
• Infused with almost 97% natural ingredients.
• Light-weight, semi-creamy texture with decent hydrating properties.
• The tip is stiff to hold shape and not melt while it effortlessly glides on lips.
• Neither overtly creamy glossy nor overtly drying on lips.
• Sets nicely onto saturated opaque color concealing lip flaws up to great extent.
• It neither sits in lip lines nor emphasizes them.
• Wears nicely up to 5-6 hours with mild transferring.
• No feathering or bleeding issues at all.
• Perfect for pigmented lips as well.
• Quite rough, tough and travel friendly packaging.

Would I Recommend Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick – Rhubarb?
Well if you ask me, this is what I would expect from my ideal summer time lip colors. I would definitely recommend these lipsticks and this shade to every beauty considering it is perfect for hot weather and is not so bold, heavier yet buildable with complete opaque color pay off, a win-win if you ask me.
