I hauled a few items off Sephora for the very first time. After all my favourite bloggers said that Bite Beauty makes some of their Holy Grail lip products, I had to order them. I bought the Bite Discovery Set, of which the lip gloss and lip primer reviews are coming up next. Let’s see how this one compares.
Packaging: The product comes in a blackish grey container with a rubberized finish. The shade name is written at the bottom of the tube. The cap clicks open and shut. If you turn the coloured part (which is close but not exactly the colour of the product inside), the crayon twists up.
Initially, the crayon part is quite tapered, which helps to get around the cupid bow of the lips wonderfully, but as you continue to use it, that point will be lost and the crayon will get more rounded off. But still, you can get a very precise application.
My Thoughts on Bite Beauty Glace Deluxe Matte Creme Lip Crayon:
The full size lip crayon has 1.41 g while the one I got in the kit is more than half of that, a very generous 0.89 g. Bite Beauty puts food-grade ingredients in all their products, so they are very very safe for you. One of their features seem to be a very pleasant, sweet smell and taste, which is not at all overwhelming.
Shade: The shade is a rosy pink with mauvy purple undertones. It goes on a bit light but gets a bit darker as it sits on the lips. It looks like a very beautiful everyday n*de on me (I have deep-tan skin tone) and I love using it for everyday as well as for smoky looks.
Pigmentation/Texture: The pigmentation on this is definitely one-swipe and fully opaque pigmentation. The crayon is very very creamy and so it glides on the lips beautifully, does not exaggerate lip lines and does not flake on the lips. You don’t need to exfoliate before using this at all. It stays comfortably moisturising for the entirety of its wear-time. Because this is a very creamy product, the finish is slightly satin-matte initially instead of pure matte then gets more matte.
The only con is that it transfers off quite easily and does not survive drinks or meals. When it fades, it fades initially in the centre of the lips. It stays on about 4-5 hours, lesser if I eat/drink in between. That’s okay for me, because it is just as easy to reapply without a mirror. I recommend not putting on a lip gloss on top, because the product tends to feather a lot if that is done. It maybe because this product is already quite creamy and adding more moisture can tend to make it extremely slippery and the pigment to bleed.
Pros of Bite Beauty Glace Deluxe Matte Creme Lip Crayon:
- Matte finish.
- A great everyday shade.
- Shade will suit a variety of skin tones.
- Glides on the lips beautifully.
- Feels comfortable throughout its wear-time.
- Food-grade quality ingredients.
Cons of Bite Beauty Glace Deluxe Matte Creme Lip Crayon:
- Transfers off easily.
- Will wear off with eating or drinking.
Would I Recommend Bite Beauty Glace Deluxe Matte Creme Lip Crayon?
Absolutely, just keep in mind, the shade can tend to get a hair darker than initial application.
