A revolutionary lip tint formula that delivers luscious color with an ultra-glossy finish. This lustrous lip tint contains pure argan oil, vitamin E and fruit butters to hydrate, nourish, and revitalize lips. While delivering long-lasting color, this product works to soothe and soften the lips, making your pout extra kissable. The center B provides resveratrol, a double dose of antioxidants found in red wine.
This lush lip tint comes in a long and opaque velvety lipstick case. I totally adore the “B” embossed right in the middle of the lip tint. It does have a faint fruity smell and taste, which is not overpowering. An absolutely velvety touch feel, user friendly and travel friendly case, worth its money!
My Experience with Bite Beauty Lush Lip Tint – Watermelon:
This is my first lip tint from Bite Beauty though I have used other products from Bite Beauty before. I love their products for their food grade formulation and anti-ageing benefits and also for their subtle and wide array of wearable light/deep shades, totally a win-win product for lips. Off late, I am gravitating more towards lighter shades and picked this subtle natural pink “watermelon.” I am glad I picked it even though I feel it will complement young college and office gals more. However, I believe ageing depends on person to person and what matters most is being young at heart 😛 So, I ditch all stereotypes of wearing reds or decent pinks in late 20s and confidently wear this natural pink 😛 This lip tint delivers a decent flush of pink (tends to be lavender pink sometimes) glossy stain to my lips in two swipes and soon the glossy sheen gives way to a subtle stain which stays put for decent hours. I do not feel any dryness or flaky lips as long as I wear it.
This pink will flatter most fair/light/porcelain beauties and I fear it might be tricky on medium/tan skin tones. I simply adore its texture which is neither very sticky nor stiff, just perfect to slather on my lips with subtle flush of pink tint in just 1-2 swipes. It does have tiny shimmer, which never shows up on the lips, I discovered them while swatching on the hand. The formula certainly hydrates and nourishes my lips for 5-6 hours and I get supple and soft lips for quite a number of hours even after removing it off my lips. However, I agree that they may not replace traditional lip balms for this lip tint won’t treat or heal your dry/chapped lips. It heals moderately dry lips very well though.
Moreover, I did notice that it smartly blurs moderately dry areas on my lips apart from melting in lip cracks and making them soft and even toned in due course of time. Yes, it won’t settle into the dry lip areas or lip crevices unless you have very dry and chapped lips. It also gives sheer to moderate coverage on my lips and I believe it will work well on women with lightly pigmented lips.
I also love the fact that it can be worn as a lip tint with minimal strokes and can also be built up to an intense stain with multiple swipes and it would not give any cakey, feathering or bleeding effect. But to my slight disappointment, the shade which I own cannot be worn as a stain because it gives me a tanned look if I swipe it multiple times and hence I love to use it as a lip tint. It stays for 4+ hours on my lips with light snacks and tea/coffee breaks and does fade after one heavy meal and requires touch ups. I love the pretty subtle stain it leaves behind which looks healthy and looks natural pink on my lips. Overall, I am really impressed with this moisturizing, nourishing, and subtle yet wearable lip tint and I am definitely getting more shades from this range soon. I wholeheartedly recommend this natural pink shade to every young college-going gal and also to every fair/porcelain/light skin tone beauty with light pigmented lips as well. A must-have for drying summers!
Let’s sum up pros and cons:
Pros of Bite Beauty Lush Lip Tint – Watermelon:
- A pretty subtle and wearable lip tint formulated with food grade colors and ingredients which also provide anti-ageing benefits apart from nourishing and taking care of dry lips.
- This particular shade is a natural subtle pink with minimal shimmer, which does not look frosty on the lips.
- This particular shade gives naturally healthy glow to my pale skin if worn as a subtle lip tint and not stain.
- Works like a charm on porcelain/light/fair beauties including women with light pigmented lips.
- Gives sheer to medium coverage on my lips without looking streaky or blotchy.
- Does not settle into fine lines and does not bleed.
- Imparts a tender and youthful glow to the face.
- Feels extremely light on my lips and provides a flush of hydration and suppleness which stays on for hours.
- The shade stays for 4+ hours with light snacks and tea/coffee breaks and thereafter leaves a subtle soft stain which looks pretty natural and beautiful.
- Definitely works on mildly dry and chapped lips to a good extent without irritating them.
- Does not transfer.
- Good packaging.
Cons of Bite Beauty Lush Lip Tint – Watermelon:
- The formula might be tricky for very dry and chapped lips.
- This shade may not work on medium/tan skin tones.
- Might be tricky for deep pigmented lips.
- Won’t stay as long as other glossy lip products we have in the market, after all, it’s a lip tint.
Well, I am currently loving the lip tint and wearing this subtle pink quite often and I want to lay my hands on each and every shade from this range because of its hydrating and moisturizing formulation, also it’s a “harsh chemical free” formulation. It is truly a life savior when I am in a hurry as it goes with any colored outfit being so subtle. It is a winner for me though I believe it might be a disappointment for gals who want long-lasting glossy stains and more color payoff. However, if you want subtle sheen with decent hours of hydration, then go for it.
I will give it 4.5/5!
