My Experience with Bite Beauty Maple Amuse Bouche Lipstick:

Packaging:  Bite Beauty has a very simple yet classy packaging for its lipsticks. The tube has a rubberized velvety feeling texture with a curved cap. The cap closes securely.

Shade:  The shade “Maple” is described as a brick red color, which is a true description. It has just a hint of an orange undertone which you can detect under certain lighting. Though I rarely feel comfortable sporting such deep shades, it was quite flattering on my light- medium skin tone. I personally enjoy the shade “Cayenne,” which is a brighter version of red more than this particular shade, but if you love shades like this, you cannot go wrong with this lipstick in any other aspect.

Texture and feel on lips:  These Bite lipsticks apply so smoothly on the lips without any tug or skip. They are super creamy but they do not feel heavy on the lips at all. With this particular shade, I had some difficulty getting it to apply on my inner most smoothest part of my lips despite it being creamy hence you can see quite a clear distinction in the LOTD and with a deep shade, it is quite noticeable when you talk.

They are much thinner and lightweight feeling than their former version (Luminous cream lipsticks, now discontinued). I find them to be mildly hydrating and comfortable on my lips. They have almost velvety smooth feeling on my lips and they seem to smooth out the texture of my lips.
Swatch on hands

They are not so intensely creamy and moisturizing (in comparison to their former version), but they do sit comfortably on my lips. I don’t feel like they settle into fine lines or emphasize dry patches. Since they are not so super duper creamy, I have had no problems with these lipsticks bleeding on me which was the issue I faced particularly with the darker shades from the former luminous cream lipstick formula.

Pigmentation:  I am truly impressed with the pigmentation of these lipsticks. They deliver absolute 100% opaque pigmentation in one swipe. The darker shade like this particular one packs a punch. This quality will make these lipsticks loved by beauties with pigmented lips who crave full coverage from their lipsticks.

Finish:  During the initial couple hours of wear, the finish is creamy sheen. The finish falls somewhere between creamy and satin. It has the right amount of sheen without being glossy. The sheen does settle down after a few hours into wear as you eat or drink.

Staying Power:  Being quite creamy, these lipsticks do transfer. The staying power on this shade was a fantastic 8+ hours even with multiple snacks and drinks. It fades from the inner part of my lips after a full meal and needs a reapplication after that. This particular shade does leave a strong reddish stain on my lips as it fades.
Red lips

I love the fact that Bite lipsticks have all-natural food grade ingredients so they are not harmful even if you go ingest them.

Fragrance:  It has an amazing lemony citrus-y scent. I am all about the citrusy fragrances hence I adore the scent on this. It’s not too overwhelming and you can only get a whiff of it during application, it does not linger. This lipstick has a mild sweet taste.

Overall, I really enjoy these Bite lipsticks. They comes in an array of shades with a list of food-grade natural ingredients, amazing pigmentation, comfortable formula and finish makes this an ideal everyday lipstick for most lipstick lovers. Bite Beauty got everything right with this lipstick. I will recommend this.
