Recently, I did a small Bite Beauty haul and picked up some of their lip products. I got their ‘Amuse Bouche Lipsticks’ and their ‘Matte Creme Lip Crayons’. So, here is the review of Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayon – Brandy.

Matte Crème Lip Crayon is handcrafted by Bite Beauty at the brand’s facility in Toronto, and is made with natural ingredients, such as resveratrol, an antioxidant found in red wine. My Experience with Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayon Brandy:

Packaging:
The Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayon comes packaged in a grey coloured cardboard box. The lip crayon itself is housed in a matte grey retractable crayon pencil. The product details and the shade name are present on the outer box. There is no color-coded hint on the product to depict the color, just like MAC Lipsticks. This may be quite bothersome when we own more than one lippie from this line. But once we open the cap, there is a color-coded band near the tip of the lipstick. Though the crayon is retractable it has a sharpener at the end to sharpen the crayon for a fine tip.

Shade:
Bite Beauty offers quite a wide array of shades in this range, comprising of neutrals, pinks, reds, berries and deep colours. ‘Brandy’ is a muted red with a hint of pink and orange. This is a unique shade with various undertones and I have not seen a red like this before. The shade will suit all undertones and will look different on every skin tone.

Formula:
The lipstick’s consistency is very creamy and it glides on the lips smoothly. Bite Beauty advertises this product as matte, but it is more like a satin matte finish; it has a bit of shine to it. The pencil is like a jumbo lip liner, so it is very easy to fill in the lips. The pigmentation of this crayon is good and gives full-on opaque color on the lips. The lipstick is very lightweight and works like a breeze on the lips. It feels very comfortable on the lips. This lipstick also doesn’t settle into the lip lines and cracks.

Wear Time:
This lipstick stays on for 4 to 5 hours, just like a regular lipstick. Though it transfers to everything it does leave a stain on the lips, which looks cute. The lipstick’s formula may not be matte it is still wonderful and gives a plumped up lip effect.

Overall:
These are amazing! I love how effortless they are. I think this range could have become more popular had the brand marketed it as a normal lip crayon and not a matte one.
