Bite Lip Rouge in Apple Review

Product Purchased by IMBB

Hey guys!

Today, I will be reviewing Bite’s Lip Rouge in Apple, a product that you can literally take a bite out of. This product is made from all-natural, food grade ingredients that can actually be eaten. I wouldn’t recommend snacking on it, but to see whether I recommend rocking it on your lips and cheeks, read on!

Bite Lip Rouge in Apple

Product Description:

Bite’s Lip Rouge is a “multitasking lip color and blush, rich with buildable layers of color and a satin texture.” It “delivers super antioxidant resveratrol, which fights free radicals with potent long-term antiaging benefits.” Furthermore, “each Lip Rouge contains the amount of resveratrol found in five glasses of red wine.”  This product is also “free of synthetics, polybutenes, and petroleum byproducts and made exclusively with lip nurturing food-grade ingredients that are healthy enough to eat.”  The shade Apple is described as a warm red.

My Experience with Bite Lip Rouge in Apple:

I have expressed my love for multitaskers before. I am always trying to save time and makeup-pouch space and keeping one stop products on hand is always a priority for me. While a lot of cream blushes can be used on the lips, I find it comforting when the makeup brand explicitly states that they can be used on lips and cheeks. Although, this is called a “lip rouge,” it can be used on the cheeks as a cream blush. The product comes packaged in a sleek, matte-black case with a small mirror inside. It’s a nice, light portable case and the mirror is a nice addition for easy touch-ups.

The shade is appropriately described and looks like a very bright, warm red on me. It’s definitely more of a fall color and will flatter all desi skin tones. The product is super pigmented – just a tiniest bit of swipe delivers a ton of color. The texture is extremely smooth and the product seems to melt into the skin when applied. It blends easily on cheeks and stays put there. It goes on very creamy, but leaves a beautiful, long-lasting stain behind for hours and hours.

What I like best about this product is how pigmented and long lasting it is. As I said earlier, this product is super duper pigmented and the rich color you see in the pan is exactly how it shows up on the skin. It does look much warmer on the skin than it does in the pan, though. The color lasts all day on my cheeks without touch ups and looks as fresh at the end of the day as it does when applied. On the lips, it goes on creamy when applied and in about 3-4 hours starts wearing down to a stain that lasts until taken off. I actually prefer dabbing this very lightly on the lips, for a just-bitten stain that looks very natural and lasts through the day. I usually apply this on my cheeks and lips with my fingers and that works pretty well. For the days, I want more coverage on the lips, applying with a lip brush is the way to go.

As wonderful as this product is, it does have its drawbacks. This is very drying on the lips. I have to prime my lips with chapstick before I put this on. It’s weird and totally unexpected because the product is so creamy, so, perhaps, it’s an ingredient in it that dries the lips out. I don’t experience any dryness on my cheeks, though. Another drawback is that the lip color bleeds a little bit. This isn’t an issue when I apply it as a stain, but it definitely is when I apply it more heavily. A little lip liner fixes this issue fairly quickly. Overall, this is a great lip and cheek product.  I am definitely going to pick up more shades in the future and wear Apple in the fall!

  1. Thanks, guys <3
@ Princess — I'm not entirely sure. My best bet would be Sephora for Delhi peeps and e-commerce websites 🙂
