Black Radiance Warm Berry Artisan Color Baked Blush Review

Hi everyone,

I love baby doll pink color blush on my cheeks, but experience has revealed to me that wine/plum shades suit me better and look more natural on me. I have used both the spectrum of shades and find that darker shades give a better flush to my cheeks. I have used the bronzer from the same range and really enjoyed it hence decided to give a chance to this blush as well 🙂

My Take on Black Radiance Warm Berry Artisan Color Baked Blush:

This blush reminds me of NARS blushes, but it’s of better quality – yes better quality! I love how this blush is set in a smooth dome and has just minimal fall out. It is a super smooth product and I enjoy applying it on my cheeks.

Packaging:  This product comes in a plastic pan which is attached to a plastic case with a see-through cover. The packaging is not very sturdy and the cover of the case is a little wobbly. However, I love how the product is pressed into the pan.  There is no in-built mirror or a brush. The blush is set in a tomb form, like the bottom of an earthen clay pot.

Texture: It’s a baked powder blush with no fall out or shimmer. One can dab off the excess from the brush during application to remove any loose pigment – not that there are any. It is very soft in texture and blends effortlessly. It gives a beautiful flush to my cheeks and looks very natural compared to baby doll pink blush, which looks fake on my face.

Color:  A dark berry color with brown undertones. It does not have shimmer particles and blends beautifully.  Since it has warm undertones, it complements my skin well.

Pigmentation:  Awesome pigmentation when applied with a fluffy blush brush. One swipe is enough for both my cheeks, in fact more than that might look too garish and unnatural. Fair skin tone people can use it as a bronzer, but I personally avoid pink-based bronzers for contouring.

Blush for darker skin tones

Shimmer and Shine:  It has no shimmer or shine and gives a natural, matte finish.

Staying Time:  Lasts for the entire day or till it is removed – staying power is really good because of good pigmentation and powder texture.

Black radiance blush

This is a very pretty blush which comes in 4 shades, and most of them are meant for dark skin tones, but I think these colors can be used on most of the skin tones because they look very natural. I like how this brand caters specifically to dark skin tones and comes up with products that complement a particular section of people who are usually ignored.
