Blistex Happy Lips Strawberry Lip Balm Review

I have fallen in love with lipsticks and keeping lips hydrated and moisturized plays a major role in maintaining that colorful pout. I have tried several lip balms and off lately I have noticed good results with Blistex Happy Lips! I have already reviewed Mango balm and today I will review the other one from the same range: Blistex Happy Lips Strawberry Lip Balm.

My Experience with Blistex Happy Lips Strawberry Lip Balm:

I just wanted a plain lip balm without any tint or color to moisturize and hydrate my lips prior to applying lipsticks and of course one to slather on, at night. Having used Blistex lip balms, I didn’t want to try other options and I had already used Mango, so I wanted to try Strawberry this time and I also picked up another one from Blistex which I will be reviewing soon!

The lip balm has a roll on lipstick like packaging with a transparent cap. The packaging is satisfactory. The previous cap had suffered a crack due to falling and I am not so sure about the cap of this one either but I am more careful! The packaging is girly with a pink case and a transparent cap with lot of ‘kisses’ on it. The lip balm is transparent like wax and has no color. The smell is like strawberry, which almost all lip balms have and is sweet. So the flavor and scent is artificial.

I have dry lips and on application my lips turns soft but they do not cure/heal the chapped lips. The results are temporary and stopping the application can make the lips dry again. The hydrating power of the lip balm is quite good, I apply the lip balm once in the morning and the hydration goes on for almost 5 hours and doesn’t need a reapplication. I reapply the lip balm once in afternoon before the reapplication of lipstick. The lips remain smooth and I can hardly notice any cracks when I use the lip balm. The lip balm is not waterproof and when you are wet in the rain for long or during a beachy time, you need reapplication a lot of times! I have dark pigmented lips and with the lip balm, my lips look healthy and shiny!
