Blistex Sensitive Lip Balm Review

Blistex lip balms have been my favourite from the past few months. I have been using Blistex Happy Lips for quite some time now. I wanted a lip balm for the night and preferred a simple one. I came across this variant by Blistex and decided to pick it up. Here are my thoughts on the same.

My Experience with Blistex Sensitive Lip Balm:

I love yummy flavoured lip balms but I also know that they are artificial. All I wanted was a lip balm that moisturizes my lips and work its magic in the night so that I wake up to beautiful moisturized lips.

The lip balm comes in a blue twist-up packaging. The twisting notch is at the bottom. The packaging and the cap is sturdy and ideal for travelling. The lip balm comes in a sealed package. It is clear and odourless; it feels like Vaseline on the lips. The lip balm is creamy and glides smoothly. One or two swipes are enough for that needed moisturisation. The lip balm provides a glossy look to the lips. You can feel there is layer of lip balm on your lips but it doesn’t make my lips feel greasy.

The lip balm provides enough moisturisation for the night and when I wake up, my lips are still smooth. I did try this lip balm during the busy mornings and this failed me! The lip balm lasted for 2-3 hours and I had to reapply the lip balm every 2 hours. So, this is a lip balm which does this duty when the lips are shut! The lip balm can be used only by itself; under or over lipsticks can make it messy as the lip balm adds shine to the lip colour and the lipsticks can turn greasy and messy; also the lipsticks don’t last long due to the greasy effect!

The lip balm is great for dry and chapped lips and I have seen great differences when I wake up with this lip balm in the morning. The lip balms do not cause any irritation and are suitable for sensitive lips. They also soothe the lips. So, if you are looking for something for the nights this could be a perfect choice for you but if you need a heavy duty lip balm for the busy day, I would not recommend this product.
