Blue & White Eye Makeup Tutorial
Even though it’s been just a month since I last posted, it feels like ages!!! I wanted to come back with a bang so thought what better than doing a tutorial since it’s like venturing in a totally new area. I hate applying eye shadows since it takes particularly a very long time for me to apply and by the time I settle with the shadow I want to use, it will be time for me to leave outside the house. Because of which most of my eyeshadow palettes get abandoned for a long time. One such trio mom discovered while cleaning my room (yes, at times I get too lazy to clean my own room :P).
It’s Avon’s Heavenly Soft Eyeshadow Trio in blue. It has a white color which is the lightest shade and is supposed to be applied from lash line to brow. The baby blue is a midtone shade to be used in the crease. The third shade which is a Cerulean blue placed on the top is the deepest shade from the trio to be used on the lid and along bottom of lash line. This is how Avon describes in its site the ideal usage of this trio. However, I used it in a slightly different way.
P.S. Please excuse my eyebrows & upper lips. I haven’t been feeling well lately thus, in no mood to get them done.
Step 1:- Prime your eyes. I have primed using concealer and face powder.
Step 2:- Use a base. I’m using a white base from Mikyajy’s Eye & Lip base.
Step 3:- Then use the midtone blue on 3/4th of your lid. As you can see in the picture mine’s appeared very whitish at the first application, so I tapped the shade thrice over and over.
Step 4:- Apply the darker blue all over the lighter one and then blend it towards the outer half of the eyelid & also towards the crease.
Step 5:- Fill the inner corner of your eyes with the white shade. Make sure to use a little shimmery shade. Also line the inner 1/4th of the lower lash line with the same white.
Step 6:- Line the outer 3/4th of your lower lash line with the darker blue.
(Optional) Step 7:- Apply a little silver shimmery-glittery shadow over your eyelid. I applied it because I felt the look was getting dull.
Step 8:- Apply a highlighter under your brow bone. I mixed these 2 shades of highlighters as one just doesn’t work for me.
Step 9:- Line your upper lash line heavily with black liquid eyeliner and lower lash line with a black kajal and mascara of course. Fill in your eyebrows.
And top it off with a pinkish-purplish lip gloss & an earthy light brownish blush.
I mixed the following two lip shades from some random palette.
This is my final look 🙂
