Riya Asks
Hello Rati and everyone at IMBB,
I am Riya and aged 31, been reading your blog since last couple of months. I am into lipsticks, skin care products but yet to jump onto blush. I do not apply any face powder or foundation. Could you advise on a great blush that i can start with along with the cost? I have wheatish complexion- on the fairer side, clear skin.
Thanks in advance
Umm nyx cream blush or colorbar blushes…600 or less…
yup shanaiia… i too have heard rave reviews bou the NXY Cream blush! 🙂
even bourjois blushes are good 🙂
Colorbar blushes….for 250/- is good for beginners
And Maxfactor Miracle touch cream blush…around 550/- :))
Lakme, maybelline or colorbar blushes are great. If you have pores, stay away from shimmery blushes.
You should start using a face powder atleast, it would not only control the oils on your face but would also make your blush last longer. Lakme white radiance and lotus botanical compacts are nice. 🙂
Thanx rati, will get the lakme white radiance alongwith the blush the first thing when i visit market tom.
Ratiji…..I am sorry to differentiate a bit here…..I am in my 30’s and shimmer blush (peachy)….works great on my cheeks…I love the dewy subtle effect…..I use Mac prep+prime as a base which somewhat diminishes the looks of pores on my cheeks…..then I use shimmer blush….but ofcourse with a light hand!
Maybelline is around 200 cheapest I know and a great blush to start off as it comes with a brush.

I advice u to start with Maybelline 🙂
Maybelline mousse is nice, bt it has shimmer…so if you have larger pores :idk: :idk: :idk: :idk: :idk: :idk: :idk:
Maybelline mousse blush is too good. spreads smooth. easy to apply for beginners. unlike powder blushes u dont ve to work on blending it.
hey riya, colorbar is good for beginners… u can try tht, thy come for 250 /smthing
Guys thanks so much, for the advise. Wow, was apprehensive on posting a query but IMBB is such a great, warm, lovely place to hang on. Thanks everyone…!
Maybelline mousse blush!! It’s really good & easy to apply
Hey Riya.. You must get CB Just Earth and Peachy Rose.. Get a little practice with the powder blushes and then get cream ones.. They are a tad bit trickier to apply..
And i agree with Jyoti abt the brush… The brushes which come wid the packaging are crap..
hi riya, the lakme earth rose trio blush priced at Rs.600/- is awesome (my first blush) and yes a nice blush brush. You have 3 shades in the same blush which u can use together or individually for specific purposes like highlighting, contouring, just as lovely blush…:).hope this helps.
Start with powder blushes that I can suggest.. Cream blushes sometimes dont work for certain skin types.. I used maybelline mouse ones and it shows my pores all the more :((
