I have seen a lot of you talk about how cosmetics are much cheaper in the U.S. A friend of mine is visiting from there in January and I would like to get some items through him. I am planning to order them through an online website and get them delivered to his address.
- I am medium complexioned, maybe NC 42 with oily, acne prone skin. I have thick curly hair with a very dry scalp.
- Kindly suggest some products for me with brand and specific shades. Please suggest shades too along with brands! Eg:’Jordana blush redwood’ … like that! I trust you ladies blindly!
- Also please suggest some good websites to order these from. I would like to get great offers, of course!
- I am planning to purchase only drugstore stuff, but if there’s some high end must have thing, please suggest that too!
- I also want to get an epilator and a hair straightening iron too, so please suggest something for this too!

Blushes – Jordana and Milani have gorgeous gorgeous blushes and very reasonably priced as well..also check out ELF blushes
Eye makeup – Again Milani eye pencils are amazing n often compared to UD pencils so def a must have..ELF has some amazing quads and very very cheap..single eyeshadows again check out milani and jordana
Lips – I feel nothing beats Revlon as a brand in lipsticks n their lip butters are aamzingly cheap in US so must have..check out MAC too since MAC products are cheaper in US than india
As for name of the products I am not able to able but if you google milani blushes etc you’ll find loads! hope this helps

u know i keep a list with myself n keep addin gstuff to it that isnt available in india, so when i go smwhere or someone frm abroad is cmg (which happens often ) i hve a list ready… lol 😛
from my own list, things whose reviews ive read smwhere or the other, i have mostly elf stuff – 100 eyeshadow palette, cream eyeliners – coffee, purple, olive etc… , liquid eyeliners, their blushes r also good ive heard. also they have good brush kits at very reasonable prices. i think some 10brush kit for $12 or something, check out their site.
maybelline gel eyeliner comes in diff shades there – a friend got me “eggplant” its amazing 🙂

MAC products r also comparatively cheaper there.
revlon kissable lip stains r very popular.
if ur budget allows u, u could go for urban decay and bobbi brown 🙂
as for website, elf prodcuts can b ordered frm their website , rest all drugstore brands can be ordered from walmart or target .

My 2 cents would be- even if you miss a particular cosmetic, you can always find a good dupe here. But good cosmetic brush sets are VERY hard to find in India.
Order kabuki and professional brush sets from Sigma. They are really great and have been reviewed here by Parita.
Primers- Eye and face primers are super hard to get in India. Take a look at the reviews here and choose a good primer. You can get all kinds of products from Amazon. For good and cheap eyeshadows- try Coastal scents 88 palettes (reviewed here).
Mineral makeup is huge in the US, so try ordering mineral blushes and eyeshadows too.
Tips before buying foundation/compacts- choose your shade carefully, read loads of reviews to determine the correct shade.
Hey, I would caution you on getting appliances (epilator, flat iron) from the US as they have a different voltage (110V) whereas Indian ones work on 220V. Even when used with a voltage adaptor they can sometimes over heat and stop working! Had that happen to me with a Conair flat iron that I bought in the US and tried to use in India.

well for electrical appliances make sure u get voltage converter small plug & adaptor which is hardly 7-8 $ in Frys store, frys is available all over US, u may visit frys dot com for plug, adaptor or any electrical appliance. As indian electrical appliances run on different adaptor & voltage

Am currently using it its great for you. other than that u may try neutrogena naturals cleanser, loreal youth code cleanser and loreal youth code day lotion, am happy with both as i too fall in acne prone category! U may give it a try. its availbale in Amazon, walmart, Kohl’s, Target and Macy’s sites online. Just everytime change location to USA and you will be able to browse those sites.
Go for loreal “double illuminator eye liner”, revlon colorstay & maybellline gel eye liners and lipps items as they are reasonable as compared in india.
Go for amazon its best site all over US and delivers pdt within 6-10 days with free shipping option.
do visit frys online site to get voltage converter & adaptor for electrical appliances, it would be easy to use them here then!
