I have been meaning to pen down this review since ages, but something or the other would crop up and this would be shelved, which in turn gave me a lot of time to really test the product before sharing the review with you. So here goes:
What is it: This multitasking formula perfects skin in five ways: it covers imperfections and evens skin tone; draws moisture to skin; brightens dullness instantly and over time; helps reduce the look of wrinkles; and shields skin against damaging UVA/UVB rays. Available in a wide shade range for all skin tones, from fair to dark.
Who is it for: Anyone looking to break down their skin care and beauty routine into one easy step, all the while getting instantly great-looking skin.
Why is it different: This all-in-one formula combines Sodium Hyaluronate and skin-quenching emollients to boost hydration and improve long-term luminosity. Light reflective pearls brighten dull skin and minimize the look of pores while botanical extracts and Caffeine reduce discoloration and prevent redness. Argireline®, a collagen-boosting peptide, minimizes fine lines with regular use. Finally, broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection helps fend off future damage.
How To Use:
Apply a thin, even layer using your fingertips, a sponge or the Foundation Brush. Can be used as a makeup base/primer, or a lightweight foundation on its own.

US $44 for 40 ml.
The first thing which hits you about the BB cream is the size of the tube. It’s fairly small and slender, but houses 40 ml of product – as opposed to 30 ml from other brands. The small black tube is extremely convenient to carry along in your bag. The tube has a screw on cap and a small nozzle from which to dispense off liquid. The nozzle allows sufficient control on the amount of product being dispensed out. The tube comes housed inside a black cardboard box – typical to Bobbi Brown.
My Experience with Bobbi Brown BB Cream SPF 35:
I have been in search of a good BB cream since ages, loved the texture of Guerlain BB cream but with only 3 shades, which too seemed a little cool toned, it was not a match. So, I was really keen on trying Bobbi Brown’s BB Cream – one, because she is known to have a good range of colours and two, she understands that our base products need a bit of yellow in them and thirdly, because of the fact that her products have rarely disappointed me.
The BB cream comes in astounding 9 shades – the highest number of shades I have seen in a BB cream. The shade I picked is “Natural” – I use the same shade in Bobbi Brown’s foundations too. I’m NC 30-35 (depending on the season). The shade has a hint of yellow and suits my skin tone perfectly.
The texture is creamy, not too thick, not too runny either – easy to blend. I generally use my fingers for applying this. It feels like your day cream being applied – it’s not heavy and goes on smoothly.
The coverage it provides is sheer to medium – you will need concealer if you have obvious dark spots/pigmentation/dark circles. I do have some dark spots, but I am okay with the natural look that it gives me. The finish is satin and natural – maybe a little dewy. I prefer to set it with some loose powder – it just sets the product, increases the longevity and makes the coverage semi-matte (which I prefer). I love how natural the effect of this BB cream is, it looks brighter, more even toned and as good as skin.
The oil control of this BB cream is not the best – in about 5 hours, it needs a dab of powder to keep it going. It would last you a whole workday with one touch-up (powder) in between.
The titanium dioxide provides good physical block for protection against UV rays. With SPF 35, I feel I am sorted to step out of the house.
So, apart from evening out the skin, brightening it, providing sun protection – there are also long-term benefits associated with it, which are provided by the antioxidants and skin-repairing ingredients in it.
To sum this up for you:

Cons of Bobbi Brown BB Cream SPF 35:
- Not the best oil control – needs a touch up post 5 hours, but then, Bobbi Brown has not made any claims to that effect either.
This has become an integral part of my daily routine. Nowadays, I see myself reaching for this more and more. Skin care, sunscreen and foundation – all rolled into one – which is exactly what a BB cream was supposed to do. Now the question may be, why spend so much on this when you have cheaper drugstore offerings. Trust me, they are not in the same league. Just like the Western BB creams cannot compare with the Korean ones, the drugstore BB creams cannot compare with this. One product that truly takes care of 3 is still a marvel for me!
Would I Repurchase Bobbi Brown BB Cream SPF 35?
Without a doubt! I wanted to buy a backup but refrained.
Will I Look for any other BB Cream?
I don’t NEED to look for another, except for my urge to still try a Korean BB cream, at least once in my life time.
