Eye contour skin: Sensitive, tends to dry easily

Today, I am here to share my views on Bobbi Brown Instant Full Cover Concealer. It is available in fifteen different shades and caters to all skin tones. To know how this concealer fared on my skin, kindly continue to read.

How to Use – Prep under eye area with Hydrating Eye Cream to refresh skin and create a smooth canvas for concealer. Using the tip of the doe foot applicator, dot Instant Full Cover Concealer under the eye and blend (a little goes a long way for a well-rested look). For the fullest, most opaque coverage, use the side of the doe foot applicator to swipe a generous amount under the eye forming an upside-down triangle. Blend with the applicator or your fingers.
My Experience with Bobbi Brown Instant Full Cover Concealer:
Packaging: It comes in a transparent tube with a black colored screw open cap which has a doe foot applicator attached. This rectangular shaped tube comes packed in a black colored cardboard box. Packaging is travel-friendly.
My eye contour skin is sensitive, which tends to dry during winters and get irritated easily. I also have some tired lines and under eye shadows. I wanted to invest in a good concealer for my eye contour skin. I opted for Bobbi Brown Instant Full Cover Concealer.
I was recommended shade ‘Sand’ and I picked it. Shade ‘Sand’ is a light beige with yellow undertones. This shade suits my moderately fair skin, instantly brightens my eye contour skin, conceals dark circles and tired lines. However, I feel this shade is a bit light for my eye contour skin tone, which is dark compared to the rest of my face.
The formula is pigmented and provides full coverage. The texture is creamy and has a sticky consistency. The doe applicator has its own pros and cons. It picks up the minimal product, which is good if you want to just apply it to the inner corners of the eyes and swipe it under the eyes and then blend using your fingers or beauty blender. This avoids any unnecessary wastage of product. However, if you are planning to apply it on the forehead or a bigger area of your face, you have to repeatedly dip the applicator into the tube. Secondly, the doe applicator does not help in blending the product, I have to use my fingers to blend and dab the concealer into my skin. After blending, this concealer feels like skin and instantly brightens my eye contour area and conceals the dark circles and fine lines.
The formula is quite creamy and mildly hydrating. Does not dry or irritate my sensitive skin. Makeup is best worn on a properly prepped skin and I do follow this regime. I use an eye cream under this concealer. I have to wait for the eye cream to be absorbed into the skin, before applying the concealer.
Please note that very dry skin type, definitely, needs to use an eye cream under this concealer. Also note, it is a bit sticky and tacky. Dabbing or blending requires some effort. In spite of the sticky and tacky consistency, it does not set into the fine lines. It can be used to conceal other dark spots and blemishes on the facial skin. Does not crease or settle into fine lines. Has good pigmentation and lasting power. Gives a smooth finish and a fresh, bright look to my eye contour skin. The formula is lightweight and does not feel heavy, sticky or creamy, once blended. I am definitely impressed with this concealer.
