Hello Beautiful Ladies,

I always wanted to try Bobbi Brown products, but never got a chance to try any, but finally, a few days back, I managed to go to a Bobbi Brown store.  I wanted to try one of their lipsticks, but after seeing all the colors together, I got confused and didn’t buy any of those.  Then, I checked out their glosses, but I found it pricey for a trial (as it was my first Bobbi Brown trip).  Finally, I decided to get one of their shimmer bricks as I have heard great reviews about those, but I wasn’t completely satisfied and I wanted to have something more. So finally after swatching some of their products, I finally decided to buy one of their long-wear shadows.  These cream shadows come in 19-20 shades and the one I selected is No. 38 and is called Cool Lilac.

Packaging:

The first thing I loved about the shadow is its packaging. It comes in a transparent square-shaped container with a circular lid, the square section actually does not contain any product and the actual product is present in the circular section which is half of the total height of the product. Overall, the packaging looks really adorable with the whole square and circular theme. The only thing I don’t like in this kind of packaging is the small opening size. It makes really difficult for girls like me (with long nails) to use the product with fingers, and so I always use a brush to apply this shadow.

How To Apply:

For a polished, professional look, apply on clean lids with the Cream Shadow Brush. Using short, sweeping brush strokes layer color on lids for desired effect. For a more sheer effect, use fingertips to blend.

My Take on Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow – Cool Lilac 38:

Cool Lilac, as the name suggests, is a cool-toned lilac with minute-sized shimmer particles. The particles are actually so small that I wasn’t able to notice them until I saw it in the pictures. This color in the packaging seems to be like a dual-shaded one, which sometimes seems to have golden undertones to it.  The color might have a golden reflection or shimmer, but still, it is one of the perfect everyday colors. Since the day I have bought this, I use it on my lids daily. It is very easy to apply and convenient to blend.

I apply this with a brush and finally blend it with my little finger (although there is no need of doing that, but I still do it).  Once set, it stays for almost the entire day. Even though I have oily lids, still this shadow stays easily for 6-7 hours. During this time, the color does fade a bit and it even creases sometimes, but it does stay. I have tried long wear shadows from some other brands and this is the one that has stayed on me the best (without a primer). The color is nicely pigmented which allows even a single coat of the color to look good. I personally apply 2 coats to make them stay for a longer time.

• Pricey (I wish I could grab some more of these on some kind of offer or discount).
• Does crease a bit sometimes.

Would I Repurchase Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow – Cool Lilac 38?

Yes! Not this color, but after trying this, I would definitely want to buy some more of these.

Would I Recommend Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow – Cool Lilac 38?

Yes! I agree that it is pricey, but the product is worth the price.
