My Experience with Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick Golden Pink:

I have recently started experimenting liquid and cream eye shadows. I picked Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick in the shade Golden Pink. It comes in a black coloured twist-up pen and has a cap, which shuts securely. The pen is retractable and it is advisable to twist and close after use, to avoid breakage and damage. This pen has a peach coloured ring with golden champagne sheen at the bottom, which is the colour of the shade. In case, if you happen to have more than one in your vanity, it is easy to identify the shade you want. The pen concept is very handy and easy to carry around. This pen is then packed in a black coloured cardboard box. Packaging is handy and travel-friendly.

Golden Pink is described as a shimmery pink peach shade. It is a shimmering peachy shade with golden champagne sheen and mild pink undertones. This shade has a smooth texture and feel. It is creamy enough to apply evenly without tugging or pulling on the lid. It dries and sets quickly, but there is enough time to blend and smooth out whilst applying it as an eyeshadow. It’s a light colour with warm undertones and suitable to use as a highlighter, rather than using it as a mono eyeshadow. It can be used as a base eyeshadow to add warmth and increase vibrancy of powder eyeshadows. Can also be used as a highlighter on the brow bone and inner corner of the eyes.

Pigmentation is quite good for a shimmery shade and lasting power is six hours and above. This shade has a semi-matte creamy texture and it is advisable to wear over a primer for those who have dry eye contour skin. I have combination to dry skin and I prefer using a primer under this shadow, especially in winters, when my eye contour skin tends to become dry. Does not crease or fade and lasts long when worn above a primer. I do apply an eye cream on my eye contour area, even if I happen to skip a primer. If this shade is applied directly on the skin without a primer or eye cream underneath, it tends to flake after some time.

I prefer using this shade mostly as a highlighter on the brow bone and in the inner corner of my eyes. I have also used it as a base shadow to enhance my powder eye shadows. I apply using the pen and blend using my fingers. At times, it tends to apply unevenly, the same can be evened out by reapplication and blending. Coverage is medium. Intensity can be built by reapplication. Shade is blendable, but one needs to be quick. Lasting power is approximately six hours without a primer and eight hours with a primer underneath. Needs to removed with an eye makeup remover. Does not dry or irritate my sensitive eye contour skin. I have also used it in the inner corner of my eyes and it does not cause any irritations. However, this shade can be tricky and performance may vary for oily eye contour skin. It’s a beautiful shimmery shade which gives a luminous shine and effect to my eyes. Best worn as a highlighter and in the inner corner of the eyes.
